Job Title: Machine Operator - Ziplock Packaging

Job Summary:

The Machine Operator will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining Ziplock bag manufacturing machines. This includes ensuring smooth operation of machines, troubleshooting issues, performing quality checks, and adhering to safety and production standards. The role will focus on producing high-quality, consistent products while meeting production goals and deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Machine Operation : Operate and monitor Ziplock bag packaging machines to ensure proper operation and output.
• Set-up & Adjustment : Set up machines for different production runs, adjust settings (temperature, speed, pressure) to ensure product quality.
• Quality Control : Perform quality checks on the finished products, including ensuring proper sealing, bag sizing, and appearance. Record and report defects or non-conformities.
• Maintenance : Conduct routine maintenance and cleaning of machinery to ensure optimal performance. Replace parts as needed and address minor repairs.
• Troubleshooting : Quickly identify and troubleshoot issues with machines or product defects to minimize downtime.
• Inventory Management : Monitor and ensure that raw materials (film, seals, etc.) are stocked, and notify supervisors of any shortages or issues with supply.
• Safety Compliance : Follow all safety guidelines and protocols to ensure a safe working environment. Report any safety hazards or incidents immediately.
• Documentation : Maintain accurate records of machine settings, production output, downtime, and maintenance.
• Collaboration : Work closely with supervisors, maintenance staff, and quality control teams to meet production targets and resolve any operational challenges.

Requirements:

• Experience : Previous experience operating machines in a manufacturing or production environment is preferred, especially in packaging or plastics production.
• Skills : Strong mechanical aptitude, ability to troubleshoot equipment, basic understanding of machinery operation.
• Attention to Detail : Ability to inspect products for quality and ensure compliance with production standards.
• Physical Requirements : Ability to stand for long periods, lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs), and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Safety Awareness : Commitment to following safety protocols and procedures.

Preferred Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications or training in machine operation a plus.
• Experience with Ziplock packaging machinery minimum of 3 years.
