Job Title: Production Mechanical Engineer

Position Overview: We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Mechanical Engineer to ensure the highest standards of quality in our material handling equipment manufacturing. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering, quality control processes, and a keen eye for identifying issues in manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities:

1. Identifying deficiencies and developing improvements in mechanical processes and the manufacturing.

2. Conduct inspections on raw materials, components and finished products to ensure compliance with specifications and standards.

3. Coordinate with design/engineering and production teams to identify and address quality issues during the manufacturing process.

4. Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of manufacturing processes, test results, and inspection reports.

5. Preparing documentation of critical analysis in mechanical processes and providing suggestions for correcting errors

6. Act as the key interface between product design team (Engineering) and Production team.

7. Train production staff on quality control procedures and ensure adherence to established standards.

8. Work closely with suppliers and vendors to establish quality requirements and resolve quality-related issues.

9. Collaborating with Project in-charges, fabrication in-charges and subcontracts for proper allocation and tracking of resources

10. Development work plan, follow ups on progress during the mechanical processes and manufacturing.

11. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the overall quality and efficiency of mechanical processes.

12. Capability to work in the environment, such as office and outdoors for inspections and manufacturing process follow ups.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering

2. 3+ years of experience in production preferably in the manufacturing of bulk material handling equipment.

3. Strong knowledge of mechanical engineering principles, materials science, and manufacturing processes.

4. Knowledge in Painting, powder coating, plating, surface cleaning and machining operations.

5. Experience with quality control tools and methodologies, such as statistical process control, root cause analysis,

6. Proficiency in reading and examination of engineering drawings, schematics, technical specifications, Fits and tolerances.

7. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

8. Effective verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally.

9. Familiarity with quality management systems (ISO 9001, Six Sigma, etc.).

10. Ability to carry out failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA), Kaizen, 5S and other lean techniques in a low volume scientific manufacturing environment.

11. Extensive knowledge of MS Office modules, AutoCAD/Solid works & ERP.

12. Ability to work on own initiative with a pro-active approach to challenges.

13. Certification in quality control or quality engineering is a plus.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ?300,000.00 - ?600,000.00 per year
