seeking a talented and motivated Production Engineer NPD to join our dynamic team.

Summary:

The Production Engineer NPD will play a crucial role in the transition of new products from the

development stage to full-scale production. This role requires a combination of engineering expertise,

project management skills, and a comprehensive understanding of manufacturing processes to ensure

that new products are manufactured efficiently, cost-effectively, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

New Product Introduction:

- Collaborate with design and development teams to ensure manufacturability of new products.

- Develop and implement production processes for new products, ensuring they meet design

specifications and quality standards.

- Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments to identify potential production issues and

develop mitigation strategies.

Process Development & Optimization:

- Design and optimize production workflows, assembly methods, and manufacturing processes.

- Utilize lean manufacturing principles to improve production efficiency, reduce waste, and

enhance product quality.

- Implement and validate new manufacturing technologies and equipment.

Project Management:

- Lead cross-functional teams to manage NPD projects from concept to production launch.

- Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and budget

management.

- Track project progress, identify potential delays, and implement corrective actions to ensure

timely project completion.

Quality Assurance & Compliance:

- Establish and maintain quality control procedures to ensure products meet regulatory and

company standards.

- Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for production issues and defects.

- Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and environmental guidelines.

Documentation & Reporting:

- Prepare detailed documentation for production processes, including standard operating

procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and process flow diagrams.

- Generate and analyze production reports to monitor performance, identify trends, and drive

continuous improvement initiatives.

- Maintain accurate records of engineering changes and production modifications.

Collaboration & Communication:

- Work closely with suppliers, vendors, and external partners to source materials and components

for new products.

- Coordinate with internal departments, such as R&D, Quality, and Supply Chain, to ensure

seamless integration of new products into the production line.

- Provide technical support and training to production staff on new processes and equipment.

Qualifications:

- Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing

Engineering, or a related field.

- Experience: Minimum of [Insert Years] years of experience in production engineering, preferably

in an NPD role within a manufacturing environment.

- Technical Skills: Proficiency in CAD software, manufacturing process simulation tools, and ERP

systems. Knowledge of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other process improvement

methodologies.

- Soft Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Excellent project management and

organizational skills. Effective communication and teamwork capabilities.

Other requirements:

- The position will report to NPD Head location in Mumbai, hence honesty & communication skills

are key.

- Candidate having 5 to 6 years of Plastic & Steel Production experience and located in or around

Ahmedabad will be preferred.

- Willingness to travel to supplier sites and other manufacturing locations as needed.

Compensation:

- Based on candidate's experience and qualification, the CTC range is from INR 4.0 lac to INR 6.0

lac per annum.
