As a Production Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing the production process, ensuring efficiency, quality, and timely delivery of sheet metal components. Key Responsibilities:
Plan and oversee the production process for sheet metal components, from raw material to finished product.
Develop and implement production schedules to meet customer demands and deadlines.
Optimize manufacturing processes to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
Monitor production metrics and implement corrective actions as needed to ensure targets are met.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including design, quality control, and maintenance to resolve production issues and improve product quality.
Implement and enforce safety procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
Train and mentor production staff to enhance their skills and productivity.
Evaluate equipment and machinery performance, and recommend upgrades or replacements as necessary.
Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of raw materials and components.
Stay updated on industry trends and technological advancements to identify opportunities for process improvements.
Qualifications and Skills:
Diploma or Bachelor\'s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
Proven experience as a Production Engineer in a sheet metal manufacturing environment.
Strong knowledge of sheet metal fabrication processes, equipment, and materials.
Proficiency in production planning and scheduling software.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles is a plus.
Experience with CAD/CAM software is preferred.
