Position
Summary:
Perform the daily operations of Turbine Rotor assembly in line with ISO: 9001 & ISO: 19443 along with SQDC approach to achieve shift wise target as per inputs & standard work. Contributes to team efforts in accomplishing the organizational goals.
Your Role:
• Follow Organization EHS guidelines & participate actively in all EHS activities & initiatives.
• Report any stop work or concerns related to EHS & Quality and report all safety incidents
as per EHS guidelines.
• Perform & assign activities in line with work specific regulatory compliance and
organizational EHS policy.
• Competent for assessment of risks & hazards associated with the task & respective
mitigation actions.
• Undergo required EHS trainings to work safely & perform tasks in safe manner. Shall acquire
the respective authorization/training before performing an activity.
• Ensure that all Contract workers are performing the assigned activity safely while working
with you or nearby area.
• Knowledge about basic EHS guidelines/Environmental aspect and risk related to activities
of Turbine Rotor Assembly.
• Understanding of nuclear safety culture and ITNS-I & A (Important To Nuclear Safety- Item
& Activity).
• Review and understanding of machining documents like MOPs, SOPs, drawings, KSL and
FMEAs.
• Perform rotor set up on roller, lathe machine for turning operations and precise quality
measurements as per instructions & requirements.
• Perform Seal Strip Assembly, Seal strip turning, blade sequencing as per blade distribution
list, blade assembly, Shroud Turning, reaming operation of pin root, cover plate assembly
with Hot & cold riveting operation, manual drilling- tapping, grinding, conventional machine
operation (Lathe, milling, PDM), shrink fitting of Auxilary Shaft, hot work and deburring.
• Monitoring of production, adjusting appropriate setting of tool-tackles.
• Knowledge of usage of measuring instruments, error check & its application.
• Knowledge of manual & power tools & its application, trouble shooting of conventional
machine.
• Lean approach likes 5S, Kaizen etc and maintain safe & clean workplace.
• Teamwork and Coordination with fellow operator team & cross functional team for
uninterrupted Production.
• Support other machine shop team & assembly team.
Profile
Basic Qualifications(requirements):
• ITI- Fitter or machinist / Diploma in Mechanical engineering
• Min 5-year experience in assembly operation
• Basic computer skills.
Desired Qualifications:
• Demonstrated integrity - accept and adhere to high ethical, moral, and personal values in
decisions, communications, and actions when dealing with others.
• Lean Mindset and understanding of lean tool. (5S, Kaizen)
• Effective shift change communications.
