We are seeking a highly skilled Production and Quality Control Engineer with expert knowledge of machining processes, including turning, cylindrical grinding, milling, and other manufacturing processes like welding and coatings. The ideal candidate will have experience with precision measurement instruments such as vernier calipers, height gauges, and bore gauges. The candidate should be capable of conducting internal and customer quality inspections in line with the Quality Assurance Plan (QAP), adhering strictly to technical specifications and guidelines issued by the QA department.
Key Responsibilities:
• Machining Process Oversight: Oversee machining operations such as turning, cylindrical grinding, milling, ensuring all production processes meet required technical specifications.
• Quality Control and Inspection: Conduct internal and customer quality inspections as per the Quality Assurance Plan (QAP), ensuring compliance with the project requirements and customer expectations.
• Measurement and Inspection: Utilize measuring instruments such as vernier calipers, height gauges, bore gauges, and other precision tools to verify the dimensional accuracy of manufactured parts.
• Adherence to Specifications: Strictly adhere to technical specifications, engineering drawings, and QAP guidelines to ensure parts are manufactured to the highest standards of quality.
• Manufacturing Process Expertise: Apply expertise in manufacturing processes such as turning, cylindrical grinding, milling, and other relevant techniques to ensure product quality and process efficiency.
• Engineering Drawings: Review and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications to ensure that parts are manufactured according to design and meet tolerances and quality standards.
• Process Optimization: Identify and implement process improvements to reduce cycle time, enhance quality, and improve productivity while complying with safety and quality standards.
• Documentation and Reporting: Maintain detailed records of inspections, quality checks, and compliance reports to ensure traceability and accountability in production processes.
• Collaboration with Teams: Work closely with production teams, QA department, and customers to address any quality issues and support in resolving them.
Skills and Qualifications:
• Educational Qualification: Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or ITI in related fields.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in production and quality control in a machining environment, including turning, cylindrical grinding, milling, and other manufacturing processes like welding.
• Machining Expertise: Extensive knowledge and practical experience in machining processes (turning, cylindrical grinding, milling) and related manufacturing techniques.
• Measuring Instruments: Proficiency in using measuring instruments such as vernier calipers, height gauges, bore gauges, micrometers, and other precision tools.
• Quality Assurance Knowledge: In-depth understanding of quality assurance procedures, QAP, and quality control systems.
• Engineering Drawings: Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and technical specifications to ensure manufacturing processes adhere to design and quality requirements.
• Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and precision in both production and quality control tasks.
• Problem-Solving Skills: Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot issues and suggest corrective actions.
• Documentation Skills: Strong documentation and reporting skills, with the ability to maintain clear and concise records of inspections and process outcomes.
