Product Service & Training Engineer for Aluminium Doors & Window Product Categories

Overview: We are seeking a skilled and knowledgeable Product Service & Training Engineer to join our team specialising in aluminium doors and window products. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in product installation, troubleshooting, maintenance, and providing comprehensive training to internal teams and external partners. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring customer satisfaction through effective product support and enhancing the skills of our workforce.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Product Service:

• Conduct on-site inspections and assessments of aluminium doors and window installations to identify issues and provide timely resolutions.
• Collaborate with the technical support team to troubleshoot complex product issues and develop effective solutions.
• Maintain accurate records of service activities, including reports on findings, actions taken, and recommendations for product improvements.
• Communicate with customers professionally to address concerns, answer inquiries, and ensure satisfaction with product performance.

2. Training:

• Develop and deliver comprehensive training programs for internal staff, including sales teams, technicians, and customer service representatives, on the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of aluminium doors and window products.
• Design training materials, including manuals, presentations, and hands-on demonstrations, to effectively convey product knowledge and best practices.
• Coordinate training sessions at company facilities or customer sites, ensuring that participants receive practical, hands-on experience and theoretical understanding.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through assessments and feedback mechanisms, making adjustments as necessary to improve learning outcomes.

3.Product Development Support:

• Collaborate with the product development team to provide insights and feedback gathered from field service experiences, contributing to the enhancement of product design, functionality, and durability.
• Participate in product testing and validation activities, providing technical input to ensure that new products meet quality standards and address customer needs effectively.

4. Continuous Learning:

• Stay updated on industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory requirements related to aluminium doors and window products.
• Engage in ongoing professional development to enhance technical skills, knowledge of product offerings, and training techniques.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, or a related field. Additional certifications in relevant areas (e.g., product training, project management) are a plus.
• Proven experience (5+ years) in design, product development role with a focus on aluminium doors and window products.
• Strong understanding of product installation procedures, construction techniques, and building codes/regulations related to doors and windows.
• Excellent troubleshooting abilities, with a methodical approach to problem-solving and attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey technical information clearly to diverse audiences.
• Proficiency in relevant software applications for documentation, reporting, and training development.
• Willingness to travel frequently for on-site service visits and training sessions.
