Job Description


This role is for the Trade and Working Capital Sales Lead for Western Region in India, responsible for the origination, structuring and execution of the complete suite of Trade and Working Capital Solutions. The client base consists of large conglomerates and multinational companies headquartered in the Western Region of India. The focus of the role is to deepen and broaden relationships at multiple levels within Treasury /Finance and other decision makers/ influencers, extending the breadth and usage of all Trade Finance solutions especially Structured Trade Finance.Responsibilities:Reporting to the Asia South Head of Trade and Working Capital Sales, this individual will develop and execute the Trade strategy for select large local corporates and multi-national clients in India.Identify new revenue opportunities, originate deals, manage to grow base revenues, minimize attritionExecute and monitor development on existing wallet assessment to identify opportunitiesLead client engagement in the structuring of solutions and executing new mandatesLead complex structured deals working closely with the Distribution & Product teams, Operations, Risk and LegalManage multiple drivers to achieve overall business objectives, including pricing, returns, and with constant mark to market on pricing vs competitionCommunicate client feedback and market intelligence on competitor offerings to the Product organization to enhance the Trade offering so that it is industry leading, relevant and meets the clients\' evolving needs, with input into the investment spend process to prioritize key developmentsEnsure product solutions are managed within robust control frameworks and are aligned with regulatory and institutional requirementsClosely manage client portfolio and address risk mitigation needs when necessaryImplement and lead execution of sales campaign by client segment/product to improve market share and client penetrationResponsible for forming partnerships with Trade Co.s and intermediaries to deliver customized working capital solutionsAppropriately assess risk/reward of transactions when making business decisions; demonstrating proper consideration for the firm\xe2\x80\x99s reputation.Be familiar with and adhere to Citi\xe2\x80\x99s Code of ConductAppropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm\'s reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.Development Value :Develop skills for assessing and optimizing business drivers and implication for businessDevelop advanced client management skillsDevelop industry knowledge and expertiseDevelop skills for gathering and distilling market intelligence and application to business decisionsLeadership skills in managing multiple stakeholders/ partners towards a common objectiveQualifications:10+ years of deep experience in Trade Finance products including Receivables Finance, Payables and Commodity Trade FinanceTrack record of executing complex and structured trade finance transactionsExperience of business development, building and maintaining key relationshipsExperience of developing and executing sales strategies for relevant products & solutions, including ESG relatedConsistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skillsEducation:Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s/University degree, Master\xe2\x80\x99s degree preferredThis job description provides a high-level review of the types of work performed.
