In this role youll work with world-leading developers, business analysts, sales teams, and product owners across the globe to evaluate market demands, create well defined business cases and, scope and define new features for the FIS suite of card payment solutions.What you will be doing

  • Acquire a good understanding of the broad range of FIS payment solutions, not only the product(s) you are directly responsible for.
  • Liaise with business focused and technical teams to ensure requirements meet business approval and are delivered to a high standard. Communicate the requirements to relevant parties and ensure the appropriate teams fully understand the need.
  • Understand the potential impact of the changes across the product range. Ensure technologies and general solutions align, with an aim to eliminate functional duplication.
  • Guide the technical innovations and ensure they align with FIS policies, are fit for purpose and deliver the business needs.
  • Investigate industry and client needs. Think innovatively to discover potential solutions. Present ideas to management and where appropriate the business teams.
  • Assist in the creation of business cases, including scoping, estimating costs, and defining delivery phases. Ensure necessary funding is factored into business cases and formally submitted for approval.
  • Define short term roadmaps, manage priorities, track spend against allocated capital budgets and report progress to business owners and finance teams.
  • Contribute to the definition of long-term strategies and steer product evolution in the direction of those strategies.
  • Communicate the roadmaps and strategies both internally and with customers. Take feedback and adapt roadmaps where appropriate.
  • Assist sales support teams and business analysists in responding to RFPs. Including responding to questions, identification of gaps, and confirmation proposed solutions are viable and align with defined strategies.
  • Work with marketing teams to ensure products maintain a high profile and that new features are communicated internally, to customers and the market in general.
What you bring:
  • 10+ years of card payments experience, ideally with a practical technical and implementation foundation.
  • Detailed end to end understanding of acquirer and issuer card payment processing.
  • Some experience as a product manager / owner, or at least experience in managing and delivering projects.
  • Ability to adapt to changing business priorities and needs.
  • An understanding of current technological tools and public cloud services.
  • Experience with machine learning and AI tooling will be useful.
  • Investigate industry and client needs. Think innovatively to discover potential solutions. Present ideas to management and where appropriate senior exec teams.
  • Good team-working skills.
  • Ability to communicate in English in a clear and concise manner to team members located across the globe where English may not necessarily be their first language.
  • Experience with presenting to large audiences at conferences and through webinars to communicate business and technical aspects.
  • Familiarity with project tracking tools such as Planview and Jira.
  • MS Office (Excel / Word / Power Point)

  • Regulatory standards, such as PCI-DSS and GDPR.
  • Working in an Agile environment.
  • Architecture and solution design.
  • Functional definition and implementation design.
  • Management of budgets and associated reporting.
  • Practical experience with delivery into the cloud.
  • Architecture solutioning (on premise and public / private cloud)
  • Relational databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL)
  • C, C++, Java or other programming languages
