Software Platforms is one of the technology areas within Vehicle Technology organization at Volvo Group Trucks Technology. The vision for Software Platforms is to provide best in class embedded base SW and technologies for automated integration of application SW, including test platform, that enables SW driven transport solutions for Volvo.
Roles and Responsibilities
To address our tremendous present and future challenges we are seeking a highly skilled Product Manager of an organization (which is very similar to a SAFe Agile Release Train) with mission to deliver a complete SW platform including integration on HW for a developer of an application in Volvo AB, utilizing Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery chains. Within the ART we have today 5 scrum teams and will continue to grow. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully developing and delivering cutting-edge embedded software and systems that act as an enabler for vehicle systems. This position requires strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and the ability to collaborate across departments and with external partners. We are working in a SAFe inspired set-up and are in the middle of the transition from projects to product streams. Therefore, experience from agile ways of working is a must.
We believe you have a background in embedded system and software engineering and are used to lead a team to a result. It is natural for you to keep yourself up to date when it comes to new requirements connected to, among others, cyber security, functional safety and SW automation.
It would be great if you have experience from working as a Product Owner/Manager in an agile setup.

• Continuously develop and lead your ART Products
• Ensure complete product delivery including quality, product cost and performance
• Perform risk management for upcoming deliveries and mitigate accordingly
• Continuously develop and improve the way of working
• Stay current with industry trends, market demands, and regulations related to automotive embedded SW area to ensure compliance and competitiveness.
• Contribute and drive topics to resolution as key member of the SW Platforms management team
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization, including executives, team members, and external partners
• The core areas of SW Platforms includes (but not limited to):
+ Volvo Autosar Platform development and maintenance
+ Integration of application and platform SW
+ Automation of integration and delivery of ECU builds
+ Delivery of integrated MSW and PBL to final integration
+ Development of test automation framework
How to succeed
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in the development and delivery of automotive embedded software.
• Experience in leading technical teams
• Strong technical background in automotive engineering & software development.
• Strong understanding of industry trends, market demands, and regulatory requirements related to hardware systems.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners.
• Supplier management experience
