Lead the design and development of braking system components, such as relay valves, quick release valves, ABS valves, and air modulator valves used in ABS/EBS systems.
Participate in DFMEA (Design Failure Mode and Effect Analysis), DVP&R (Design Verification Plan & Report), and test reviews to support the product development process and ensure high product quality.
Perform mechanical calculations, including GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing), stack-up tolerances, material selection, and manufacturing methods (e.g., plastic injection molding, aluminum die casting).
Create 3D models and 2D drawings for braking system components using Creo/Creo Simulate.
Conduct testing at the component level for validation and verification of designs, ensuring compliance with functional requirements and performance expectations.
Utilize simulation tools to model, simulate, and analyze braking system performance to make informed design decisions.
Collaborate with stakeholders, including technical managers, project leaders, product engineers, and suppliers, to ensure designs meet customer and regulatory requirements.
Lead smaller projects or components with greater ambiguity, ensuring accountability and driving project execution to meet timelines and quality standards.
Assist less-experienced engineers, coordinate work with technicians, and transfer knowledge to support team development and project success.
RESPONSIBILITIESQualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related STEM field (Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, etc.) is required.
A Master's degree may be required for select roles.
Relevant experience in braking systems, electro-mechanical design, and system validation is essential.
This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

QUALIFICATIONSSkills:
Strong experience in Creo and Creo Simulate for 3D modeling and component design.
Proficiency with Vector CAN diagnostic tools (e.g., Vector CANoe, CANape, CANalyzer) for system testing and validation is a plus.
Knowledge of braking system components , particularly related to ABS/EBS systems, and pneumatic valve design.
Expertise in GD&T , material selection, and manufacturing methods, including injection molding and die casting.
Ability to apply Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) and Design Verification Plan & Report (DVP&R) processes.
Strong understanding of system-level integration and performance validation for braking systems.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to coordinate across teams and influence technical decisions.
Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in product development, particularly with braking systems or related components.
Proven experience in designing braking valves such as relay valves, quick release valves, ABS valves, and air modulator valves used in ABS/EBS systems.
Experience using simulation tools like Creo Simulate for mechanical design and performance analysis.
Experience with testing and validation of braking system components at the component level.
Experience in electro-mechanical design is a plus.
