Title:

Product Engineer (m/f/x), Sulphuric Acid.



Introduction:

The Metals Business Area provides processing solutions and equipment for metals refining. The Metals & Chemical Processing Business Line (MCP) offers products and services to acid & off-gas, fluid bed and light metals customers. We are recognized by our customers as delivering energy-efficient and sustainable process equipment and plant solutions as well as integrated digital solutions and competent services for plants lifecycle.



We are looking for a Product Engineer (m/f/x) in the Sulphuric Acid product group, which is part of the MCP Business line. The key task in this position is to contribute to the Technology delivery, development, customer engament and provide technology expertise on the customer plants/sites. This position is open for Oberusel in Germany and Kolkata in India.



Main Responsibilities:

Execute process engineering considering design principles & guidelines

Initiate request for design guideline update based on operational findings

Support Product compliance activities for Product Group Portfolio

Supervise and execute commissioning of sulphuric acid plants

Prepared to be on site for longer commissioning periods

Execute plant audits

Evaluate sales opportunities with regard to technical feasibility, provide technical input for sales & proposals

Represent company on conferences, industry events etc., maintain contacts to customers

Protect generated IP together with patent specialists

Familiarize with Product Group business strategy and implement nominated tasks

Support market areas and other engineering disciplines on specific coordination topics



To succeed:

Engineering degree, process engineering would be preferable.

Good working experience with simulation tools like HSC, Aspen etc

Strong process modelling skills and good data analysis skills and decision-making ability

High level of engagement with customers

Fluent in English language, knowledge of German and other language will be beneficial

Interest for longer periods of customer site/operating plant assignments

Drive and willingness to engage in international business with regular diversified stakeholder interactions.

People skills while acting as technology nodal point for multidisciplinary engineering cases
