Organization Overview
Enterprise integration Services team plays pivotal role in connecting different Systems and applications within an organization. This team specializes in designing, implementing, and maintaining integration solutions that enhance business functionality.
EIS Astra is the Enterprise Managed File Transfer Service which provides Synchrony business systems secure, automated file transmissions with internal teams, external partners, clients and suppliers.
Role Summary/Purpose:
Provide daily operational support for transaction monitoring, creation/maintenance of translation maps and jobs streams, supporting relationships. This individual will also be responsible to participate in new project activities which include evaluation of new products, planning, testing and roll-out.
Key Responsibilities:
Responsible for leading business partners and IT partners in the appropriate usage of the product.
Work with internal and external user communications to ensure EDI documents are transmitted on time and processed successfully
Implement and maintain Connect Direct solutions for secure and efficient file transfers.
implement full stack development using JEE Stack and Web technologies including frameworks like Spring boot and Spring cloud, Spring JDBC
Assist in developing solutions that meet the Synchrony Financial business requirements to improve efficiency, timeliness, accuracy and availability of information for planning and decision making
Work with technical resources at third party software vendor party software to resolve issue and to understand the causes behind the issues
Configure and troubleshoot Connect Direct processes to ensure seamless data transmission between systems.
Ensure documents continue to successfully flow between our host system and servers
Create and maintain documentation pertaining to our EDI process
Strong understanding of business process mapping and workflow
Ability to create policies and procedures
Implement EDI/B2B mapping and assist with new vendor setup
Manage different applications like IBM Sterling B2B, B2Bi in a high-volume 24x7 processing environment
Design and configure messaging communication and processing flows
Provide, administer and maintain secure environments for development and testing
Work with support organization to achieve excellence in issue management, resolution and general technical support, including EDI translation, communication flow issue and/or processing flow problem determination , troubleshooting, and customer interaction
Liaise with project and software engineering teams; participate in enterprise architecture design and development.
Assist in the mentoring EDI technical resources
Respond to EDI and communication subsystem monitoring alerts.
Working on root cause analysis for any high severity incident
Drive innovation within team to reduce the number of reoccurring incidents and implement an automatic solution to reduce the impact and reoccurrence
Required Skills and Knowledge:
Minimum of 2 years of experience with IBM Sterling B2B Integrator
Minimum of 2 years of experience with Java, Spring boot and Spring cloud, Spring JDBC
Should have good knowledge of Connect:Direct, SFTP, FTP
Minimum of 2 years of experience in UNIX shell scripting
Minimum of 2 years of proficiency with RDBMS concepts including SQL and ad hoc report generation
Desired Skills / knowledge:
Experience with Oracle/MSSQL database
Experience with Gentran, eBridge, or other self-hosted EDI translator
Experience with file system management and EDI document management
Ability to write SQL queries
Ability to read and understand XML schemes
Familiarity with other EDI Translators (WebMethods, Mercator) is a plus.
Experience with Cloud AWS, GCP is a plus.
Familiarity with IBM MQ Series or other messaging queuing technologies is a plus.
Must be highly motivated and demonstrate high level of initiative, as well as solid communication skills.
Eligibility Criteria:
Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree and 2+ years relevant experience in Information Technology, or in lieu of a degree 4+ years relevant experience in information Technology
Work Timings:
This role qualifies for Enhanced Flexibility and Choice offered in Synchrony India and will require the incumbent to be available between 06:00 AM Eastern Time \xe2\x80\x93 11:30 AM Eastern Time (timings are anchored to US Eastern hours and will adjust twice a year locally). This window is for meetings with India and US teams. The remaining hours will be flexible for the employee to choose. Exceptions may apply periodically due to business needs.
