Seeking a Product Developer to work on our z/OS Certificate Management product that has a Windows-based UI. You will have a solid background in mainframe and distributed security and must have an active CISSP certification.


As a member of the product development team at BMC you are responsible for coding software and participating in all development efforts to produce high quality, high performing and fault tolerant software.

• Contribute to be a member of the Development team responsible for developing and debugging of software products.
• Work on complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of several factors.
• Work across product lines with interaction of other BMC products
• Independently design and implement features that address customer needs with a sense of ownership within given timelines
• As every BMC employee, you will be given the opportunity to learn, be included in global projects, challenge yourself and be the innovator when it comes to solving everyday problems.


To ensure you're set up for success, you will bring the following skillset & experience:





• 5+ years of experience designing and implementing mainframe applications in an IBM z/OS environment
• 3+ years of experience with mainframe high level assembler with structured macros
• 5+ years of experience with C/C++ on z/OS or Windows
• 3+ years of experience with C# on Windows
• 3+ years of experience with PowerShell
• 3+ years of experience with Venafi TPP
• Experience with RACF security functions, macros and programming beneficial
• Additional ACF2 and Top Secret experience beneficial
• Experience with JCL, IBM Utilities and SDSF
• Experience with REXX
• Dump analysis and debugging skills
• Experience with IPCS
• Experience with UDP, TCP & TLS
• Experience with AT-TLS beneficial
• Experience with X.509 Certificates and SSH keys/certs
• Experience with Machine Identity Management
• Must have an active CISSP certification
• Must have Windows and Linux administration and security experience
• Experience with IBM's Cryptographic Services (ICSF) beneficial
• Experience with SQL beneficial
• Unix System Services knowledge beneficial
• Experience with IAM systems beneficial
• Experience with Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) software beneficial
• Working experience of Visual Studio, VS Code or similar IDE
• Working experience of using GitHub
• Mainframe LE programming a bonus
• TCP/IP programming a bonus
• Experience with z/OS Unicode Services a bonus
• Multi-threading and queue management
• Experience with Agile methodology, use of Jira product is beneficial

• Must be able to explain complicated concepts clearly to management
• Must have strong presentation skills
• Candidate must have strong diagnostics, debugging, and troubleshooting skills
