Job Description

We are looking for a product designer who can create detailed and accurate shop drawings for our custom-made products. You will work closely with our sales, engineering, and production teams to ensure that our products meet the specifications and expectations of our clients. You will also be responsible for updating and revising the shop drawings as needed throughout the project lifecycle.

To be successful in this role, you should have:

A bachelor's degree in product design, industrial design, engineering, or a related field

At least 3 years of experience in creating shop drawings for products such as furniture, cabinetry, metalwork, or signage

Proficiency in using CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or SketchUp

Knowledge of design standards, codes, and best practices for shop drawings

Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders

Attention to detail, accuracy, and quality

Creativity and problem-solving skills

As a product designer (shop drawings), you will:

Review the product specifications, requirements, and design briefs from the clients

Create shop drawings that show the dimensions, materials, finishes, assembly, and installation of the products

Coordinate with the sales, engineering, and production teams to ensure the feasibility and accuracy of the shop drawings

Incorporate feedback and changes from the clients and the internal teams into the shop drawings

Maintain and update the shop drawings database and documentation

Ensure compliance with the design standards, codes, and best practices for shop drawings
