Role Overview: As a Product Designer at Nandini West, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the visual identity and user experience of our fashion accessory products. Working closely with the design, marketing, and product development teams, you will be responsible for conceptualizing, designing, and developing products that resonate with our target audience and align with our brand ethos. Key Responsibilities:
Product Design: Collaborate with the design team to conceptualize and create innovative and aesthetically pleasing fashion accessory products, including but not limited to jewelry, bags, scarves, hats, and other accessories.
Market Research: Stay updated on the latest fashion trends, consumer preferences, and industry developments to inform design decisions and product development strategies.
Prototype Development: Create prototypes and mock-ups of product designs using various tools and techniques, ensuring feasibility and functionality.
Material Selection: Research and select appropriate materials, fabrics, and embellishments for product designs, considering factors such as quality, durability, cost, and sustainability.
Technical Drawings: Produce detailed technical drawings and specifications for manufacturing, including measurements, materials, colors, and finishes, adhering to industry standards and regulations.
Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product development, sourcing, and manufacturing, to ensure seamless execution of product designs from concept to production.
Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough quality checks and product testing to ensure that designs meet the highest standards of quality, functionality, and aesthetics.
Brand Consistency: Maintain consistency in design elements, visual language, and brand identity across all product lines and marketing materials.
Feedback Integration: Gather feedback from customers, stakeholders, and internal teams to iterate on product designs and enhance user satisfaction.
Trend Forecasting: Anticipate future trends and consumer demands in the fashion accessories market, contributing to long-term product planning and innovation.
Requirements:
Bachelor\'s degree in Product Design, Fashion Design, Industrial Design, or a related field. (Master\'s degree preferred)
Proven experience (X years) in product design, preferably in the fashion accessories industry.
Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), CAD software, and 3D modeling tools.
Strong understanding of fashion trends, materials, manufacturing processes, and supply chain management.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
Attention to detail and a keen eye for aesthetics and craftsmanship.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and meet tight deadlines.
