The DCS team is expanding in India to meet the business growth demand and has established a state-of-the-art high power 3Phase R&D lab in Bangalore. The lab includes high power test bays to test and verify the 3phase UPS systems and accessories from a few hundreds of Kilowatts to Megawatt power range.In this role, you will have the opportunity to lead the product design verification and product test activities in accordance with standard testing methodologies and requirement, and also architecting the DVT test automation test strategy leveraging the newly opened labs capabilities.ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES\xc2\xb7 Develop and implement design and verification test strategies for high power 3 phase UPS systems ranging from a few hundreds of kilowatts to megawatt power range.\xc2\xb7 Lead the architectural design and development of comprehensive test plans, ensuring coverage of all system aspects including electrical, mechanical, and software components.\xc2\xb7 Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define test requirements, specifications, and validation criteria for UPS systems.\xc2\xb7 Oversee the creation and maintenance of test infrastructure, tools, and equipment necessary for verification and validation activities.\xc2\xb7 Conduct and oversee verification and validation tests, analyze results, and drive corrective actions as needed.\xc2\xb7 Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and customer requirements throughout the testing process.\xc2\xb7 Provide technical expertise and guidance in resolving complex design and test issues.\xc2\xb7 Contribute to continuous improvement efforts for test methodologies, processes, and tools.\xc2\xb7 Understand UPS products through design, specification, applicable standards, configuration, application, operations etc to provide fast and accurate response to field service/sales teams/LOB design leads in support of field failed parts analysis/Service or Sales queries.\xc2\xb7 Continuous improvement on knowledge about 3 phase UPS products, their user operational/installation/Service manualsRequired Key Skills & Experience\xc2\xb7 In-depth knowledge of high power 3 phase UPS systems or similar high-power systems like Charger, Inverter, Battery configurations, High DC voltage systems, Electric Vehicle or any power electronics based systems.\xc2\xb7 Knowledge on UPS, batteries, electrical panels, cables, power distribution products, transfer switches, transformers, power monitoring solutions, breakers and other electrical components.\xc2\xb7 Relevant design verification lead experience from R&D background.\xc2\xb7 Proficiency in developing and executing comprehensive design and verification test strategies.\xc2\xb7 Strong understanding of high power, power-electronics based products testing.\xc2\xb7 Experience in defining test requirements, specifications, and validation criteria.\xc2\xb7 Proficient in using test equipment and tools for validation and verification purposes.\xc2\xb7 Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills\xc2\xb7 Effective communication and collaboration abilities\xc2\xb7 Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to UPS systems and data center applications.\xc2\xb7 Hands on Knowledge in operating the lab equipment like power analyzer, oscilloscope, data logger etc.,Qualification\xc2\xb7 Bachelors degree in Electronics or Electrical Engineering or equivalent.\xc2\xb7 Minimum of 7 years of relevant R&D experience in products testing or design verification and validation.Why us?Schneider Electric is leading the digital transformation of energy management and automation.
