Job Role:Product Design EngineerExperience: Minimum 5 yearsResponsible for the development and execution of all relevant projects.
Engineering activities on special applications for customers and research and development products.
Technical support for Parlec Internal and External sales force and end users.
Define customer requirements and assist in the creation of cost data for quotations.
Assist in the development of layout and quotation drawings.
Assist in the development of specifications and testing product conformance to those specifications.
Assist in the creation of technical manuals and product instructions as needed.
The optimal candidate will have the following skills:
Experience with Inventor, AutoCAD, or similar 3D modeling software
Ability to create manufacturing prints with some knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning &
Tolerancing
Excellent mechanical design skills
Strong ability to work in a team environment to reduce costs through improved design.
Excellent knowledge of design for manufacturability
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE Minimum: 5 years Experience with Mechanical Design including Inventor. Desired: Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or Design EngineeringMATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts such as exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations, and permutations. Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis. Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to aid in the response to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
