Joining us means joining a caring, responsible, and innovative company where more than 70,000 people lead the way to greener and smarter mobility, worldwide Job Title Product Cost Analyst Purpose of the Job To realize an estimation achievable of the technical cost of the parts and assembly To support the Engineering team in the Design to Cost way of working To participate at the creation of the target cost in frame of tender and project To Support Sourcing team in the negotation with the suppliers Key Network & Links Project Team Engineering and Engineer Metier (TD/TE/TC/TS/RAMS) Product Cost Manager and Engineer Network Train Cost Manager and Engineer Industrial team Sourcing team Mission Performance Measurement, you will be in charge to Use the adequate cost model to calculate the technical cost of the Product Detect the most important cost drivers of the Product Purpose improvements of the design to reduce the technical and Industrial cost. Promote the cost culture in the Engineering team Provide the cost breakdown of the Product Negotiation support for Sourcing Team Responsibilities Based on the Design of the Product and several assumptions (industrial, sourcing): Develop costing tools for the costing network Calculate the technical cost (Should Cost / Could Cost) of the Product by using the appropriated tool Ensure that the Product is fully feasible Check the industrial process Ensure the consistency of the assumptions Contribute to the improvement of the Costing m tier To be a referent on a process or a family of product Generate and formalize Design To Cost Ideas Formalize the saving opportunities Support technical business cases Way of working Share the feedback coming from the supplier Propose design rules to M tiers Involvement in network (REX, practices, etc.) Required skills & competencies Overall knowledge of railway industry (norms, certifications, ) Industrial Process knowledge (segmentation of the industrial processes, pros and cons per processes, method time awareness) Knowledge of quality gates (V-Cycle) Knowledge of Engineering tools (DMA/CATIA/E3S/IGE XAO) Costing knowledge (Should Cost / Could Cost) Fluent in English Pack Office Knowledge Good Entrepreneurship Very good agility and collaboration Dynamic, proactive and autonomy Self learning Required skills & competencies Overall knowledge of railway industry (norms, certifications, ) Industrial Process knowledge (segmentation of the industrial processes, pros and cons per processes, method time awareness) Knowledge of quality gates (V-Cycle) Knowledge of Engineering tools (DMA/CATIA/E3S/IGE XAO) Costing knowledge (Should Cost / Could Cost) Fluent in English Pack Office Knowledge Good Entrepreneurship Very good agility and collaboration Dynamic, proactive and autonomy Self learning In frame of tender and projects development, the Product Cost Engineer is in charge of evaluating product technical & economical features. After an induction program, her/his main mission will be dedicated to Train Design & Mechanical Engineering topics on rolling stock components assess the cost of products all along the design & development cycles, and set relevant target cost Perform Technical and economical business cases and benchmarks by relevant cost analysis Challenge projects requirements and propose new alternatives: Technical, Design, industrial, procurement support procurement negotiation by providing a should cost and share hypothesis in transparency Put in place Design To Cost guidelines with technical and economical database. Challenge internal technical requirements and contribute to set new standards. Hard Skills Cost culture knowledge and/or experience, Value Engineering.
