We are currently in the early stages of implementing a hybrid working environment, which means that many colleagues spend part of their working hours at home and part in the office, depending on the nature of the role they are in. Were flexible on how this works and it may continue to change and evolve. Depending on your team, typically this means that colleagues spend a minimum of between 20% to 60% of their time in the office, which could be over a week, a month or a quarter. However, some colleagues may choose to spend more time in the office over a typical period than their role type requires. We also have a flexible working process where, subject to business needs, all colleagues globally are able to request work patterns to reflect their personal circumstances These requests will be reviewed and agreed for a period of time i.e., will have a start and end date.

Introduction:
This role forms part of the dedicated service layer of RFT RTB (Product Control) structure. It requires experience in providing comprehensive application management for large scale and mission critical applications by adhering to ITIL processes and standards. The candidate is able to read/write code, automates solution, well versed with instrumenting and debugging of application / infrastructure. Knowledge of financial markets and various Investment Banking services, products and offerings to have a meaningful engagement with business stakeholders will be preferred. One of the key aspects would be engaging with Senior RTB and BTB Managers & Stakeholders from F2B (Front to Back - Trade Lifecycle). Selected candidate will be directly accountable for managing and delivering Application Management services for Product Control systems, ensuring the quality and timeliness of SLAs. Candidate will also be required to -

• Represent RFT RTB (Risk Management) in various business forums in India/Globally.
• Operate as per ITIL discipline and manage large transformation projects for RFT GTSM

What will you be doing?

• Production stability: Accountable for Production stability, Service availability and Governance.
• Responsible for the definition and execution of service improvement plans for IVC applications
• IVC Service Management: Lead Incident and Problem Management through to resolution. Operational escalation point for Incident, Problem, Change, Release and Configuration Management.
• Engage with other GTSM Managers across RFT to explore existing technological solutions / best practices and assess suitability for IVC / Product Control
• Work with Build the Bank, GTIS, Run the bank and Operations to identify manual tasks and automate through cutting-edge Barclays approved tools and technologies.
• Strong communication and written skillset to engage with various senior IT and business stakeholders.
• Define/develop team operating model and review developments done against target end-state.
• Service Reporting/Reviews and Application Management: - Engagement with Global RFT RTB leadership to review KPIs and SLAs.
• Resilience Management - ensure that IVC applications are built to resilience management standards with accompanying documentation / testing evidence. Ensure ongoing testing requirements are met.

What were looking for:

• 5-10 years experience in production support / service management
• Degree in information systems or computer science or any equivalent
• Communication Skills - role demands to interact with various key stake holders and senior management for escalations, candidate should strong in verbal and written communication
• Knowledge of software technologies like Java, C#, SQL, Python.
• Proven experience in working with structured and/or unstructured databases like Oracle, MSSQL
• Proven experience in scripting technologies like Shell, Perl, Java Script, PHP, etc.
• Proven experience in working with Linux/Unix or Windows operating systems
• Experience in batch management and knowledge of scheduling tools like Autosys/ control M etc.
• Certified or excellent knowledge of ITIL practices.

Skills that will help you in the role

• Knowledge of IB Business - clear understanding of trade lifecycle and Market data
• Any previous knowledge of Finance / Product Control function preferred
• Team Leadership experience
• Working knowledge of Project management tools e.g. Lean Control.
• Familiar with big data platforms like Hadoop, ETL tools like Informatica etc.
• Preferred to have certified in any of these technologies like AWS or Hadoop or DevOps.
