As the Product control Professional in our External Reporting team, you will spend each day defining, refining and delivering set goals for our firm. Job Responsibilities

The Retained Lending Controller team is seeking to hire highly motivated candidates to join the Lending product Controllers team based in Mumbai and work closely with all regional product controllers to carry out control function and perform Internal and External reporting activities. Roles includes below functions:

• Lead and manage the preparation and review of all Regulatory reporting requirement impacting lending business.
• Responsible for the compilation of financial statements, footnotes, management\'s discussion and analysis and all other components of the filings.
• Ensure internal control procures are in place and maintain SOX compliance and d riving change and improvement in process in order to improve transparency and efficiency in month-end results.
• Ensure financial information is in compliance with US & local GAAP and firm\'s corporate accounting policies, documenting exceptions where appropriate.
• Act as a resource to project management & the businesses for various projects / business initiatives.
• Identify targeted reviews for specific products/process based on both quantitative and qualitative factors and risks.
• Also assist team to perform monthly close activities including but not limited to review of financial data, investigating significant variances and transactions, fluctuation analysis, preparation of financial reporting deliverable, preparation of estimate accruals, perform reconciliations, general ledger substantiation etc.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• Qualified accountant preferably with 7 years & above experience within the Financial Services industry with External reporting and controller experience.
• Excellent communication skills and executive presence including the ability to present complex and sensitive matters to Senior management, Product Managers & Business Managers across levels.
• Analytical mind-set, structure approach, attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong interpersonal, communication and team-building skills
• Ability to evaluate the design and effectiveness of internal controls
• Ability to work in a matrix organization with limited local oversight ensuring timely escalation & resolution of issues
• Proven skills in identifying and resolving control issues that may impact financial results

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• Good knowledge of Lending and Trade Finance products & SAP ledger system is preferred
• Team player and ability to work closely with global team members and other groups in the organization.
