As you are being considered for the role of the Procurement officer/Field officer, PFA the JD for your reference.

:

• Fully responsible for the overall operation and financial performance of the company's associated FPO's, farmers, farms and plantations.
• Assuming leadership responsibility in ensuring infrastructure and supporting units are well equipped.
• Working closely with other department heads of the company to facilitate cost-effective operations.
• Conducting and training staff for Field level surveys, random audits, inspections, and certification audits.
• Involved in the planning and execution of the company's expansion plan shared by the management
• Making arrangements for the farmers trainings, meetings and other related works assigned by the company.
• Monitoring of field level activities and its documentation
• Inspecting the plantations and prepare a submission written report after each visit detailing the state and conditions of all aspects of the farms together with necessary recommendations. Handling paperwork and keeping administrative records.
• Provide recommendations on all agricultural aspects of the development and operation of the farms' conformance to best-developed practices.
• Ensure all plantations are within the framework of environmental policies and responsibilities.
• Ensure all work operations in a safe and responsible manner.
• Build relationships with key stakeholders and also local government and community around the cultivation areas
• Any other duties delegated by the Directors.
• Workforce planning and management
• Managing field equipment and implements to ensure optimum utilization and provide periodic field equipment performance reports.
• Procurement of raw materials as per the season and requirement.
• Follow the instructions and tasks assigned by the direct lines and manangement.

Financial Planning and Reporting :

• Carrying out periodic cultivation level cost analysis and reviewing with a view of optimizing costs.
• Ensuring timely preparation and submission of the expenses occurred in the field level activities.s
• Presenting field and financial performance review reports to the Manager and following up on the implementation of agreed action plans.
• Maintaining adequate field level systems of internal controls needed to safeguard assets and comply with policies and procedures.

Qualification and Experience :

a) An Agricultural (or related discipline) undergraduate qualification.

b) A minimum of 2-3 years' experience in procurement of spices, coffee and other agriculture produce.

c) A proven management track record, and knowledge of fundamental and practical agricultural practices.

d) Basic financial management and internal control system manangement

e) Good communication skills (both verbal and written).

f) Must possess high personnel management skills.

g) Must possess experience in managing farmers
