Job Description

The role is focused on both procurement market intelligence and strategy and will report directly to the Global Head of Procurement and be a member of the Global Procurement Leadership team. The rolexe2x80x99s focus is equally split between the two areas of responsibility. Firstly, the role will lead global procurement analytics and provide actionable insights and recommendations based on market data and competitive analysis on intermediates, KSMs, APIs, and utilities for benchmarking, strategic decision-making and negotiations to global and local teams. Additionally, the role is supporting the transformation of the organizationxe2x80x99s governance structure, communication & visibility efforts internally and oversee the implementation of process changes, best practices and updated templates.Key Individual Accountabilities

• Lead the evolution of defining the scope of relevant market data for procurement intelligence by input from stakeholders, understanding the underlying value chains and drivers of market developments
• Monitor policy, industry and market dynamics related to relevant subcategories (incl. production & pricing) to improve insights into current and future development for Centrient and its competitors
• Provide sourcing managers with relevant market and competitive information to support their negotiations.
• Create forums, templates and communication channels supporting the updated procurement governance structure
• Drive process excellence within the procurement organization
• Lead input coordination from the sites and efforts to drive the adoption of best practices (negotiations, categories, systems, processes)
• Support global leadership team in preparing procurement updates to management & regular meetings with the global procurement community

Key Shared Accountabilities

• Support optimizing Centrientxe2x80x99s GM performance
• Input to procurement planning activities (RAF, BUD, StratPlan etc)
• Support tracking and evolution of procurement KPIs in collaboration with procurement leadership and based on CEC priorities
• Partner with MCI team (commercial market & competitive intelligence) to share information, leverage existing resources
• Co-evaluate the potential impact of market developments and co-define next steps
• Contribute to updated governance structure to support roles & responsibilities between global & local procurement

Requirements

• Graduate degree in Business with Chemistry or Pharmacy background being a plus
• Minimum of 6+yrs working experience preferably in procurement or supply chain
• Experience in Procurement or Supply Chain in Pharmaceutical or another highly regulated industry and cross-functional knowledge
• Professional (working) knowledge with databases
• Knowledge of different primary & secondary sources used for gathering supply chain intelligence
• Good knowledge of the pharmaceutical market/ key players in API / KSM / excipient / catalysts manufacturing is highly preferred
• B2B and pharmaceuticals business experience preferred
• Commercial experience and customer behavior understanding in B2B context
• Ability to partner with various stakeholders across different countries
• Proficient in data research, collection, analysis and interpretation
• Scientific knowledge to corelate API with precursor/KSMs using both chemical name and structure
• Knowledge of B2B pharmaceutical industry, preferably in API & RM procurement
• Excellent communication skills verbally & written
• Strong conceptual and analytical skills
