Procurement Manager [Vendor Development and Logistics]We\'re looking for someone to lead a team of 5-8 people in handling daily enquiries and follow-up negotiations.Find new vendors for our products and track monthly targets of the team. Healthcare / Chemicals / Pharma background is a preference but not a dealbreaker.- Proposed CTC - 5L - 6L per annum- Work Experience - 3-5y PQE minimum.The role of Procurement & Vendor Development Manager is a key leadership role in the Commercial Team. This role is expected to independently lead the procurement function, continuously expanding the vendor base, drivingprocurement efficiencies and lightning fast turnaround times. The function is a key pillar for organizational strategy & there\'s immense scope for learning and growth of the incumbent.Key Roles & Responsibilities:1) Manage a team of procurement executives to:a) Identify new vendors using all primary & secondary resourcesb) Negotiate prices with vendors on an ongoing basisc) Track orders and ensure timely deliveryd) Ensure quality & quantity of purchased products is as orderede) Maintain order details in (e.g. vendors, quantities, prices) in internal databasesf) Maintain updated records of purchased products & delivery informationg) Prepare reports on purchases, including cost analyses etc.h) Monitor stock levels and place orders as neededi) Coordinate with the Technical team to ensure proper storage of purchased products2) Drive quick procurement at best prices3) Diversify the vendor base to reduce dependence on vendors4) Negotiate best terms with the vendors to ensure the procurement cost is best in the industry5) Ensure high vendor satisfaction levels - continuously Improve Vendor NPS6) Raise & resolve issues with vendors where necessary7) Liaise with Accounts team to ensure that all vendor invoices are paid as per the payment schedule8) Liaise with the Order Fulfilment team to ensure high customer satisfaction levels9) Identify & Drive operational metrics for the team and the function as a wholeDesired Skills& Qualifications:1) Graduate in any stream. Post Graduate (in Science esp. Organic Chemistry) preferred2) At least 3 years of work experience in similar profiles involving customer or vendor management. 5+ years ofwork experience preferred3) Strong Leadership Capabilities. Experience of managing a team for at least 1 year (3+ years preferred)4) Comfortable in using web-based productivity applications such as GSuite (Google Sheets, Google Docs etc.)5) Knack for negotiating and networking6) A sense of ownership and willingness to stretch oneself to achieve the objectives is key to this role7) The ideal candidate shall be a self-starter with a result oriented approach
