Job descriptions: The Procurement Manager (PM) will be responsible for the following activities:
Responsible for identifying potential villages in the catchment area, on boarding new villages, identification of Sanchalikas in selected villages & operationalisation of Digital Commodity Collection Centers (D3Cs) in the catchment area.
S/he will be responsible for mobilization of shareholder farmers and regular engagement with them.
S/he needs to ensure that the members farmers build poultry sheads as per the guidelines laid down in the company \xe2\x80\x93 before receiving the chicks
S/he will be responsible for mobilization of shareholder farmers and regular engagement with them.
The incumbent is expected to drive the egg procurement operations of the FPC & achieve the physical & financial targets
S/he will be responsible for sale of inputs to the farmers through the Village Farmer Engagement Centres (VPFEC).
S/he will be responsible for optimisation of handling loss
S/he would be responsible for procuring the required quality of commodity from designated Digital Commodity Collection Centres in selected villages
S/he would be responsible for managing the handling loss & deterioration of quality of the procured materials
S/he would be responsible for proper & efficient deployment and safe storage of the procurement infrastructure
S/he should ensure that the buying of Commodities happens as per the Standard Operating Practices (SOP) laid down by the company at the price determined by the Pricing Committee
S/he should ensure the procured commodity is transported from the procurement centre to the Warehouse / Processing unit on time as laid down in the SOP
S/he should co-ordinate the farmer-outreach programs.
S/he will be responsible for ensuring the timely availability of inputs & extending agriculture extension services to the members of the company.
S/he should manage the logistics to transport commodities from buying point to Central Warehouse/ processing center.
S/he would be responsible for the variation in quality/quantity between the commodity (Eggs) bought at the procurement centre and that received by the FPC.
S/he would also be responsible for the variation in quality/quantity between the inputs supplied by the FPC & that received/stocked at the procurement centre.
S/he should coach and guide Sanchalika in best procurement and extension practices, so that the company captures a majority of the marketable surplus from its shareholder farmers.
S/he will be responsible for training & capacity building of the Sanchalikas, lead farmers, procurement staff and other stakeholders.
S/he is expected to coordinate the collection of data related to competitor activity disease outbreak, input & output prices, etc and its timely dissemination as easily decipherable action points to the stake holder members.
Qualifications Required Graduate in any subject preferably in Agriculture, Poultry Science, Veterinary Science, or allied subjects is desirable. Post-Graduation in related disciplines like Agriculture, Poultry Science, Veterinary Science, or allied subjects is highly desirable. Preferred work experience: Preference will be given to candidates with Minimum 2-3 years of experience in procuring agri-commodities or sale of inputs to rural farmers. Candidates from Agri input/output industry, Rural marketing from FMCG industry or any other similar industries are encouraged to apply Ex-service candidates willing are also encouraged to apply.
