Job Summary:We are seeking a highly skilled and technically proficient Procurement Manager with an engineering background and qualifications from the Indian Institute of Packaging (IIP). The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of technical specifications, product costings, and supplier management in the packaging industry. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent negotiation skills and a focus on optimizing procurement operations while ensuring quality standards.Key Responsibilities:Procurement Strategy & Planning:Develop and implement cost-effective procurement strategies for raw materials, packaging components, and machinery.Analyze market trends to identify the best sourcing opportunities and cost savings.Supplier Management:Identify, evaluate, and establish relationships with reliable suppliers and vendors.Negotiate contracts, pricing, and delivery terms to ensure favorable outcomes for the organization.Conduct regular supplier audits to ensure compliance with technical and quality requirements.Technical Evaluation & Costing:Review and analyze technical specifications for packaging materials and components.Provide cost analysis for procurement decisions, including sourcing alternatives and supplier comparisons.Collaborate with engineering and production teams to assess technical feasibility and material requirements.Order Management & Fulfilment:Oversee the procurement process from purchase requisitions to delivery and inspection.Monitor inventory levels to ensure timely and efficient procurement of materials.Resolve procurement-related issues, including delivery discrepancies and quality concerns.Cost Control & Budget Management:Track and report procurement expenses to ensure alignment with budget targets.Identify opportunities to reduce procurement costs without compromising quality.Compliance & Documentation:Maintain accurate records of supplier agreements, purchase orders, and vendor evaluations.Ensure adherence to legal, regulatory, and company-specific procurement guidelines.Cross-Department Collaboration:Work closely with R&D, production, and quality assurance teams to meet procurement requirements.Support product development by sourcing innovative and cost-effective materials.Key Requirements:Bachelorxe2x80x99s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or relevant field).Certification or diploma from the Indian Institute of Packaging (IIP) is mandatory.5+ years of experience in procurement within the packaging, manufacturing, or engineering industry.Strong understanding of technical specifications for packaging materials and components.Proven ability to analyze and manage product costings.Excellent negotiation, communication, and vendor management skills.Proficiency in procurement software and ERP systems.Familiarity with procurement best practices and supply chain management principles.Preferred Skills:Procurement od packaging ItemsExperience in sourcing eco-friendly and sustainable packaging materials.Knowledge of international sourcing and import/export regulations.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.Perks & Benefits:Competitive salary.Professional development and training opportunitiesFlexible work environment
