Job Title - Procurement Lead Location - West India Reporting to - Manager Key Responsibilities
Strategic Planning- Develop & implement strategic plans for scrap procurement aligned with the companys objectives & market trends. Identify potential suppliers and evaluate their capabilities & reliability.
Supplier Management- Build & maintain strong relationships with scrap suppliers. Negotiate contracts, pricing and terms to secure favourable agreements while ensuring quality standards are met. Monitor supplier performance & address any issues promptly.
Sourcing & Acquisition- Identify opportunities to source scrap materials efficiently & cost- efficiently. Coordinate with internal teams to forecast demand and ensure adequate inventory levels. Explore new sources and innovative approaches to expand the supplier base.
Process Improvement- Continuously evaluate and streamline scrap procurement process to enhance efficiency and reduce lead times. Implement best practices, automation tools, and performance metrics to monitor & improve process effectiveness.
Collaboration- Work closely with cross-functional teams including production, logistics, finance, and sustainability to align procurement activities with overall business objectives. Communicate regularly with stakeholders to provide updates and gather feedback.
Proactively address business challenges, mitigating risks and capitalizing on opportunities.
