Job Summary: The Procurement Officer for Furniture and Sofa Manufacturing is responsible for overseeing the sourcing, purchasing, and supply chain activities related to furniture and sofa production. This role involves developing and implementing procurement strategies, negotiating with suppliers, ensuring the timely delivery of materials, and maintaining strong vendor relationships.
• Procurement Strategy:
• Develop and implement effective procurement strategies to optimize cost, quality, and delivery of materials.
• Stay informed about market trends, pricing, and new products to make informed purchasing decisions.
• Material Planning and Forecasting:
• Collaborate with production and planning teams to understand material requirements and forecast demand accurately.
• Maintain optimal inventory levels to prevent shortages and overstock situations.
• Quality Control:
• Work closely with the quality control team to ensure that purchased materials meet established quality standards.
• Implement processes to address and resolve any quality issues with suppliers promptly.
• Cost Management:
• Monitor and control procurement costs, identifying opportunities for cost savings without compromising quality.
• Conduct regular cost analysis and benchmarking to ensure competitiveness in the market.
• Compliance and Risk Management:
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and company policies in all procurement activities.
• Identify and mitigate potential risks in the supply chain, such as geopolitical issues or supplier disruptions.
• Communication and Collaboration:
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, logistics, and finance, to ensure alignment in goals and objectives.
• Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to foster strong relationships.
• Reporting:
• Provide insights and recommendations for continuous improvement in procurement processes.
Qualifications and Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Procurement Officer in the furniture and sofa manufacturing industry.
• Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build and maintain supplier relationships.
• Knowledge of supply chain management, procurement best practices, and industry trends.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Analytical and strategic thinking with a focus on problem-solving.
• Familiarity with ERP systems and procurement software.
