Role:This position exists to support the tactical and strategic sourcing activities that are in compliance with Honeywell SBG and Honeywell sourcing processes & transitioned to the GPS organization.Accountability:This position reports to the Procurement Supervisor - Operations, BA
Responsibilities:The Procurement Buyer is responsible for:
Knowledge on Direct & Indirect materials and Services on any of the b/m purchasing systems.
SAP / SRM
Other Legacy systems
Adhere to Sourcing guidelines & various sub-processes.
Support Commodity Managers / Global Commodity Team Leads on Sourcing Projects, PO Automation, Vendor Maintenance (AVSF), Invoice Issue Resolution, PO Analysis & Closure, Supplier Data Validation etc
Support procurement Supervisor, Operations, to
Resolve Process Issues
Determine Root cause for specific issues
Support continuous improvement activities and best practices across the team members to achieve better efficiency.
Qualifications/Education/Skill set requirements:A bachelor's degree with a minimum of 3-4 years of experience in a BPO industry with specialization in the Procurement / Supply Chain domain.
The candidate must have prior experience in Buying or Procurement. The candidate should have excellent relationship management skills since the job will involve interacting with suppliers. The Candidate should have prior experience in resolving issues pertaining to gathering supplier information.
The candidate must have excellent interpersonal and communication (verbal & written) skills with all levels of employees and management as the candidate will be required to liaise with Sourcing and Supplier counterparts in North America
The Candidate should have hands on experience in dealing with multiple ERPs as this role will involve extensive use of Oracle / SAP and other legacy systems. The Candidate should also have experience in dealing with web-based tools and should be comfortable with working on various reporting tools which are web based.
Knowledge of MRP Systems & procedures is highly desirable.
The candidate should have excellent PC skills and should be well versed with Microsoft Products like Excel, Word and Access (optional). This job may also require using various applications (Microsoft or others). Hence, a strong inclination towards automation will be an added advantage.
Exposure to Six Sigma & Project Management is also desirable.
