Department Description

Financial Planning & Analysis team is responsible for providing financial analysis, information, forecasting and insight to senior leaders within, Technology, Operations, Investment Management and Corporate functions, as well as to the FIL board and the Global Operating Committee as a whole. The team is also responsible for corporate KPI and revenue, sales and assets reporting and for maintaining all revenue sales, assets and management accounts data globally.

Purpose of your role

Need a highly motivated Individual, who will be managing critical reporting for FIL\xe2\x80\x99s senior management , handling day to day data issues and acting upon various ad-hoc requests under tight timeframes. He/she would also be responsible for providing technical, systems and data support, working closely with India technology teams, business finance teams and regional sales teams across geographies.

He/she would have to ensure compliance to all agreed internal and external SLAs and requirements. Shall also be responsible for end to end support on global projects, changes and system enhancements within the agreed timelines. To this end, the individual will perform a variety of tasks including coordinating with various technology teams and stakeholders, planning and setting out data requirements, summarizing and communicating progress and status.

This demanding role would perfectly suit a dynamic individual looking to work in a fast paced environment to ensure the smooth running of business critical reporting.

This person should be able to apply own judgment to independently determine a course of action, which is then executed independently post review. He/She should be able to direct the application of existing principles, guides the development of new policies and performs a wide variety of interrelated and nonstandard assignments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop good understand of asset management business and key datasets for Sales, assets and revenue reporting.
  • Maintaining and developing new reports required by Business teams using OBIEE and Power BI;
  • Creating, managing and maintaining databases for storage and easy retrieval of data;
  • Gathering, transforming, and storing data through data acquisition, metadata management, data cleansing, data transformation and data distribution.
  • Understanding the data capturing process and data modelling
  • Leveraging data for decision making purposes.
  • Ensuring timely provision of key sales & assets metrics to senior management across FIL;
  • Ensuring accurate recodes and adjustments are placed to the back-end, internal EDW system;
  • Reviewing and analysing the sales & assets numbers to ensure accurate internal & external reporting;
  • Liaise with stakeholders and counterparties to resolve exceptions in a timely and pro-active manner;
  • Managing monthly stakeholder calls, sharing functional updates and resolving issues raised;
  • Providing ad hoc analysis, reports and presentations to the business under challenging time frames;
  • Participation in projects as required & performing periodic general administrative tasks.
  • Engaging in global projects and driving both system and process change proactively
Experience and Qualifications Required

Technical/Functional
  • Graduate or Post Graduate/CA degree from a recognised university, preferably in engineering or commerce;
  • 5 to 7 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in a similar position, preferably within a global and / or a financial services company;
  • Preferable -Knowledge of OBIEE or similar BI tool.
  • Preferable - Visualization experience with Power BI.
  • Preferable - Knowledge of writing MS-SQL extraction queries.
  • Proven Project and Program management skills.
  • Advanced knowledge of the Microsoft Office software packages; Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Access and power point.
  • Ability to use analytical or problem-solving techniques to identify and define the cause to solve complex problems.
  • Sound analytical skills with an eye for details and an appetite to dive into issues in depth as needed;
  • High numeracy and able to co-relate data/ information
  • Understanding of databases and tech architecture.
  • Ability to work with large and complex data sets
