Key Responsibilities

This position is responsible for planning and tracking of container movement utilizing most efficient and effective routing on a daily basis. The Dispatch also ensures time-sensitive cargo moves to its final destination within established terms and provides direction and guidance to Contract Drivers to ensure goals are accomplished.



Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

o Communicates daily with Customers, Contract Drivers, Terminal Personnel, and internal service representatives; coordinating, troubleshooting and resolving issues


o Coordinate and problem solve pick-ups and deliveries with Contract Drivers, partner carriers, rail operators, and port operators


o Dispatch WO for truck, rail and barge as per the timeline with any miss


o Communicate any delays to customers proactively


o Meets all customer levels of service and deadline requirements eliminating any service failures.


o Handle all customer quires with empathy and understanding the customer needs and driving towards positive NPS


o Records and audits all documents for equipment tracking


o Track, trace and report container activity


o Manage additional cost


o Update relevant systems to track appointments and drays


o Authorize equipment drops and monitor container idling


o Develops and maintains a positive working rapport with customers, Terminal Operators, and truck vendors


o Process and complete all documentation assigned in a timely manner


o Ability to work in a fast paced environment


o Cross learning capability and supporting team as in when required and supporting in being an engaged team


o provides the vendor feedback to procurement to improve the performance.
