You will be part of Global Process Engineering and by joining this team, you will have the opportunity to work in an international environment involving different cultures and challenges. You will be reporting to Head of Project Engineering, Pyromet and will be based in Chennai.Your roleYour role will include to develop process design for proposals and contracts working with Senior Process Engineers around the world. You will act as a connecting and responsible link with customer, consultants and other departments within the organization, to focus on customers needs and to ensure customers satisfaction from a Process design perspective.Your responsibilitiesDevelop Process Models/PFD using simulation tools (Metsim) and ensure the design is optimal with focus on Cost and Energy savings.Development of P&ID, Heat & Mass Balance, Control Philosophy/Functional Specification.Perform specific and individual calculations for dimensioning of equipment and system following internal standards and rules.Check dimensions and processes of proposed equipment in order phase.Guide Designers in preparation of PFD, P&ID & Process Deliverables.Provide technical expertise in all part of projects and adapt proven solutions to technical problems, evaluate and mitigates risks with the support of Senior Process Engineers globally.Conduct process audits and visit minerals processing plants, participate in customer meetings, Hazop study, support and participate in commissioning as needed.Handle technical issues correctly and efficiently in line with customer requirement and process design standards.Maintain Project technical communication and progress reports.Participate in design review meetings with customers, consultants and suppliers and clarify technical issues.Work closely with sales and execution team.Work for internal and external customer satisfaction.Travelling to customer places for project design review meetings, plant audits for short duration (
1 week) is part of job role.Understand and comply with Health Safety and Environment Policy requirementsWhat you bringBachelors degree in Chemical Engineering (B.E. / B. Tech) with 1-2 years of Process Design and Engineering experience in projects for Minerals processing industries. Knowledge on Pyro-processing equipment viz.
