Key Responsibilities
• Printing Operations
• Operate and maintain various printing and copying equipment, including digital printers, copiers, and binders.
• Set up and adjust machines to produce print jobs according to specifications.
• Monitor print jobs to ensure quality and accuracy, making adjustments as necessary.
• Job Management
• Receive and review print requests from staff, faculty, and students, ensuring clarity and completeness.
• Prioritize and schedule print jobs to meet deadlines and maintain efficient workflow.
• Track job progress and provide updates to requesters as needed.
• Equipment Maintenance
• Perform routine maintenance on printing equipment, including cleaning and replacing consumables like toner and paper.
• Troubleshoot and resolve minor technical issues with equipment.
• Report major issues or equipment failures to the supervisor and coordinate repairs.
• Quality Assurance
• Inspect finished products for quality and accuracy, ensuring alignment with specifications.
• Address errors or inconsistencies promptly to maintain high standards.
• Inventory Management
• Monitor and maintain inventory of printing supplies, such as paper, toner, and binding materials.
• Order supplies as needed to prevent shortages.
• Collaboration and Support
• Assist staff and faculty in designing and formatting print materials when required.
• Provide guidance on printing capabilities and limitations.
• Support the institution's events by preparing printed materials such as brochures, posters, and programs.
Qualifications
• Education
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Certification or coursework in printing, graphic design, or related fields is a plus.
• Experience
• Prior experience in a printing or production environment preferred.
• Familiarity with operating digital printers and related equipment.
• Skills and Competencies
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Proficiency with basic computer applications and printing software.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues.
