If this is appealing to you, we want to meet you.We are looking for Principal Test Engineer (Mechanical Design) in Bangalore who will focus on Mechanical Design work for a Test Engineering department along with Designing, developing, and implementing cost-effective methods of testing and troubleshooting systems and equipment. Prepares test and diagnostic programs, designs test fixtures and equipment, and completes specifications and procedures for new products. Plans the labor, schedules, and equipment required for testing and evaluating standard and special devices.Roles & Responsibilities:

• Design complex & innovative Automated Test Systems, Test Fixtures & Assembly Tooling using Solidworks.
• This is a collaborative opportunity where you will work cross-functionally with Design Engineering, Manufacturing, Service and External vendors
• This role is suited for hands-on, problem solver engineers who are interested to work in a fast-paced environment, high-volume environment, and learn from a strong engineering team while adding value to the assigned projects
• Activities including designing, drafting, and manufacturing Automated Test System components & assemblies; communicating with stakeholders; ensuring the teams have resources to meet objectives

Requirements:

• Master/Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering with 12+ years of industry experience in designing complex test fixtures, assembly tooling and state-of-the-art Automated Test Equipment (ATE)
• Subject matter expertise with SolidWorks, AUTOCAD and similar CAD software packages
• Key involvement in pioneering hands-on technical projects as both an individual contributor and as a team
• Familiarity with adjacent engineering disciplines is a bonus i.e., Electrical, Software Engineering, etc.
• Strong technical communication (verbal, written, presentation) skills
• Knowledge of advanced machining techniques (i.e. 3D printing)
• Experience building effective and scalable and empowering processes for the following activities: system design; design for transportation; design documentation; manufacturing documentation; operations documentation; design reviews; engineering change management; safety review is desired.
