The Boeing Digital Aviation Solutions (DAS) Flight capability Principal Systems Engineer - Flight Capabilities is techno-functional leader specialized in implementing and delivering solutions / modules as part of the Flight Domain capabilities. He will also be the Subject Matter Expert on these solutions and will be involved in training customer on the tools and ensure the product is adopted effectively and efficiently. The position will be required to develop business cases, guide and facilitate development and integration of programs, plans, strategies and processes to meet business goals. The candidate needs strong leadership, analytical skills, teamwork, and excellent communication skills. The candidate will need to communicate at different levels in the organization to other technical personnel, business leaders and customers. This role will drive innovative, evolutionary, reliable, scalable solutions that advance flight operations, efficiency and sustainability in the aviation industry. This role will be based out of Bangalore , India. Position Responsibilities: Will be involved in end to solution implementation life cycle as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) starting from project kick-off through implementation in Production and transition to customer Will develop a thorough understanding of the application\'s user interface, both from functional, business and technical process standpoint, in order to implement and help in solution adoption and integration into customer\'s business processes. Will attend onsite customer meetings as a Subject Matter Expert (TSME) and participate in meetings & other project related workshops to understand customer\'s business processes. Works collaboratively in a team environment with project managers, account managers, implementation and development resources to meet customer expectations regarding solution implementation, issue resolution during solution adoption phase, and also resolution of maintenance issues / service requests Will lead effort to develop and nurture relationship with various stake external holders such as ANSPs, Regulators, Airport Operators, Airline operators, military customers and others to understand requirements in current and future services for growth of new adjacent businesses. Will identify the best practices adopted by customers during the interactions and communicate the same to higher Management teams to enhance solutions Participate in aerospace industry organizational activities and represent the Boeing Drive strategic business process improvements within Solutions and Product Delivery organization Help implement & lead professional services growth across the business Drive value measurement initiatives & help the business reduce implementation timelines Collaborate with Sales, Accounts and Delivery team to increase and win services business Employer will not sponsor applicants for employment visa status. Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): Bachelor\'s degree or higher in IT related field or equivalent. Education/ experience typically acquired through advanced technical education Bachelor\'s degree from an accredited course of study with typically 17 or more years\' related work experience, preferably Electronics/Aeronautical/Electrical / Systems Engineering / Master\'s degree, with up to 10 years\' related work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Strong aviation industry background with very good understanding of flight planning, aircraft performance, aircraft operations, geospatial technologies, meteorology, airspace and procedure design Experience in systems engineering and development process. Experience in Model based Systems Engineering preferably MATLAB/SIMULINK/CAMEO In-depth knowledge on DO200B standards is preferred. Excellent research, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills Experience in requirements development, verification and validation Exposure on Systems architecture, design of Avionics LRU components is preferred. Excellent understanding of day of Flight Operations is preferred. Excellent understanding of day of Airspace management, ATM is preferred. An understanding of systems safety hazards analysis process to include the generation of hazards analysis Knowledge of FAA certification and airworthiness requirements is highly desired. Excellent written and verbal communications skills, to serve as lead conduit between developers, architects, designers and with external and internal customers Demonstrates effective teamwork skills. Operates under general direction with minimal oversight Strong interpersonal, communication, Leadership and organization skills Experience with enabling an organization centric targeted to business outcomes Typical Education & Experience: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 17 Plus years\' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master + 16 years\' related work experience.)
