Microsoft Capacity, Supply Chain, and Provisioning (CSCP) is an exciting and fast-evolving organization within Microsoft. CSCP\xe2\x80\x99s mission is to optimize and deliver industry-leading cloud infrastructure and foundational technologies for Microsoft\xe2\x80\x99s online services used by our customers around the world. The organization is responsible for the strategy and delivery of the foundational platform for all Microsoft Online Services including demand and capacity forecasting along with supply chain management which includes planning, sourcing, logistics and fulfilment. CSCP supports over 200 online businesses including Azure, AI, Search, O365, OneDrive and Xbox.

Cloud Capacity Planning (CCP) is one of the most central functions within CSCP due to its direct impact on Microsoft cloud business success. This team forecasts, plans and manages the majority of Microsoft\xe2\x80\x99s cloud services and directly influences cloud user experience. This is a central function that closely partners with Engineering, Finance, Supply Chain, Data Centers, NPI and Deployment Engineering.

India Center-of-Excellence (CoE) is a comparatively new team which offers capabilities to make planning processes efficient and best-in-industry by bringing expertise in areas like Supply Chain Management, Data Science, Engineering and Analytics. The team is growing very fast to get ahead of Cloud Supply Chain demand increase and set up practices for structured long, medium and short-range planning.

Responsibilities:

- Forecast material or product requirements needed to support capital optimization, corporate strategy, and production/sales objectives, and adjust business and sales plans according to business demands.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders when forecasting and planning materials and products.
- Plan and manage inventory levels for optimal inventory deployment, as well as ensure inventory meets service level requirements.
- Develop planning process assessments, research alternatives, and benchmarks for multiple lines of business.
- Drive profitability and customer satisfaction by balancing inventory levels and order fulfilment while managing a sustainable, cost-effective structure.
- Need to analyse demand, supply, and shipment trends using statistical tools to identify opportunities, trade-offs, impacts, and risks to revenue and business plan objectives.
- May have to leverage and modify statistical analysis tools for evaluating Machine Learning models.
- Identify and implement best practices and continuous improvement on new and existing processes to achieve market and business goals.

Demand Planning and Forecasts

- Oversees and directs the plan or forecast across the company for demand planning.
- Evangelizes the demand plan with other leaders.
- Drives clarity and understanding of what is required to achieve the pl (e.g., promotions, sales resources, collaborative planning, forecasting, and replenishment [CPFR], budget, engineering changes) and assesses plans to mitigate potential risks and issues.

Capacity Planning

- Oversees capacity plan development and engagement, while impacting customer capacity availability and the bottom-line cost.
- Oversees supply-demand match and mitigation plans for capacity gaps, as well as what-if scenarios to support decision making with a Service and a profit and loss (P&L) mindset.

Finished Goods Inventory

- Leads the designing of solutions to adjust to changes in demand after deployment and excessive finished goods.
- Anticipates potential changes to reduce the number of excess goods. Provides framework and long-term direction for repurposing of such goods for components or complex products and engages team to provide solutions to reduce future issues.

Analysis and Insight Generation

- Provides coaching to team members on business context, interpretation, and the implications of findings.
- Interprets findings and their implications for multiple businesses, and champions methodological rigor by calling attention to the limitations of knowledge wherever biases in data, methods, and analysis exist. Generates and leverages insights that inform future studies and reframe the research agenda.
- Informs both current business decisions by implementing and adapting supply-chain strategies through complex business intelligence.

Continuous Improvement

- Connects across functional teams and the broader organization outside of Demand Planning to advocate for continuous improvement and maintain best practices.
- Leads broad governance and rhythm of the business processes that ensure cross-group collaboration, discussion of key issues, and an opportunity to build proposed solutions to address current or future business needs.

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications:

- Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree or equivalent experience in the supply chain, related product/technology, business administration or engineering field. An MBA degree is a plus.
- 15-20 years of broad and deep product/supply chain/business planning experience
- 8+ years of people and project management experience & 3+ years experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team project
- Passionate about Cloud Computing and willing to dive into in-depth technical discussions.
- Extensive Operations and Planning Management experience in a medium to large Supply Chain, including forecasting, demand planning, supply planning, purchasing/sourcing, warehousing/inventory management, transportation and distribution.
- Ability to efficiently work in a matrixed organization with a hazy scope and boundary conditions.
- Drive agenda and business outcomes while collaborating with teams with conflicting business metrics.
- Experience in providing direction to the team members as a people manager in such organizations and situations in past.
- Exposure to global stakeholders and managing time zones by balancing off-business hours with core delivery commitments. Track record of providing the required support to the team members as People Manager by facilitating the right conversation to find the right balance.
- Manage stakeholders and deliveries in a globally dispersed team structure by balancing different time zones.
- Experience in Capacity planning and/or Supply chain management and a good understanding of different supply chain models and being ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to effectively manage key stakeholders, resolve problems and seek practical solutions
- Proficiency in Enterprise Planning systems (such as SAP, Oracle, E2Open, O9/i2/JDA etc.) and business intelligence engines (SQL, Power BI, Power Pivot, Tableau, etc.) is highly desired for this role
- A proven track record of growth and increasing responsibility, specifically in acquiring scope/leading areas in supply chain and capacity planning.
- Hands-on leadership experience moving fluidly from long-term strategy to day-to-day tactical implementation
