Job Title - Principal - Software Engineering - FFIO Tech India

The Purpose of This Role


The role involves continuous collaboration with partners, iterative understanding of requirements, following Fidelity best practices / methodologies, thorough understanding of the technology roadmap, advancement to design / development process and providing on-call production support on rotation basis. The person will be responsible for defining future technology roadmap for the products.

• Build the infrastructure required for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from a wide variety of data sources using SQL and AWS technologies.
• Good understanding on OLTP, ODS and warehouse concepts
• Expertise on data modelling, query optimization
• Ability to understand/apply data security and access control mechanisms.
• Working knowledge of Unix/Shell Scripting, Python , Java Spark and PySpark
• Job Scheduling Technologies like Control-M, Autosys
• Experience and mindset to drive fullstatck engineer concept.
• Ability to collaborate and influence application architects.
• Cloud/AWS deployment knowledge
• Agile methodologies or iterative development processes
• Acceptance test-driven development a plus.

How Your Work Impacts the Organization


FFIO provides accounting and investment management support services for over 6,000 retail and institutional mutual funds and other retail and institutional investment products servicing over $2.7 trillion of assets under management utilizing ~250 IT applications. These services include calculating and distributing NAVs, distribution rates and yields; preparing fund financial statements, dividend estimates and tax returns; monitoring delivery of fund trades to custodian banks; reconciliation; calculating fund performance and attributions; master data management and more.

The Expertise We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science Engineering/ Information Technology, Information Systems
• 6+ years of Financial IT industry experience
• Strong team player that thrives in a collaborative environment
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Quick learner and a great team player
• Experience in the financial services industry, preferably in the Mutual Fund environment, is a plus.

Shift timings : 11:00 AM - 08:00 PM IST
