If you are a team player, with a positive attitude and a desire to make a difference, then we want to hear from you Roles & Responsibilities In this role, you\'ll: Design and build the next generation of Profiles Data Lake to store, process billions of profiles, and power various use cases across Twilio Data and Applications Build highly scalable and robust APIs to ingest and access data for internal teams and customers Build and optimize globally available and highly scalable distributed systems Collaborate with teams across the engineering organization to ensure services are multi-region capable and meets regulatory requirements Mentor other engineers on the team on technical architecture and design Participate in an on-call rotation to support our business-critical infrastructure Qualifications Not all applicants will have skills that match a job description exactly. This Role Requires: 8+ years experience writing production-grade code in a modern programming language. Strong theoretical fundamentals and hands-on experience designing and implementing highly available and performant fault-tolerant distributed systems. Experience programming in one or more of the following: Go, Java, Scala, or similar languages Experience operating large-scale, distributed systems on top of cloud infrastructure such as Amazon Web Services (AWS) or Google Compute Platform (GCP) Have hands-on experience with container orchestration frameworks (e.g. Kubernetes, EKS, ECS) Experience shipping services (products) following CI/CD development paradigm. Deep understanding of architectural patterns of high-scale web application (e.g., well-designed APIs, high volume data pipelines, efficient algorithms) Domain expertise in Modern Data stack with experience in developing cloud-based data solution components and architecture covering data ingestion, data processing and data storage Have a track record of successfully leading teams, large projects, or owned and built an important, complex system end to end Ability to influence and build effective working relationships with all levels of the organization Are passionate about enabling other developers through your leadership and driving teams to efficient decisions Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Location: This role will be remote and based in India. Note: We are hiring candidates exclusively from the below cities Delhi, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Telangana, and Tamil Nadu. Candidates from service based companies don\'t fit in our ideal candidate persona, candidates from product companies & start ups are preferred.
