Thanks to its integrated design, this solution empowers teams to operate with increased agility and deliver significantly superior performance compared to CPU-based alternatives.We are seeking a Principal Software Engineer to join our DPU Runtime (OS) team responsible for developing cutting edge, high-performance scalable and programmable DPU software with a focus on DPU to FPGA interconnect development. You will be a key contributor within our DPU software team. You will bring your OS and embedded development experience to contribute to DPU driver code and related host software and support. Your contributions will have a wide impact across Azure through the development of the latest generation PCIe adapter cards.Responsibilities:

• Architect and design accelerator firmware for the DPU

• Develop, maintain and debug DPU SW issues, including use of protocol analyzers

• Participate in code reviews and provide feedback to other developers

• Mentor junior members of the team

Qualifications:

• Strong knowledge of C/C++ programming languages

• Strong understanding of Computer Architecture and Operating Systems

• Good software architectural and design sense

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Experience with Universal Chiplet Interconnect Express (UCIe)

• Embedded software experience
