Responsibilities for this role include but are not limited to:

• Serve as a development test engineer creating and automating test cases for features developed by the Pune team
• Participate in cross functional teams to develop, communicate and execute a comprehensive system level test strategy.
• Define and articulate technical designs with the appropriate details to both business and technical teams.
• Drive Test scoping of new features with input from development, product management, and test engineering.
• Develop use cases to ensure all functional and feature test requirements are captured during the design and development phase.

Automation/Jenkins expert who will focus on creation of automated test cases and track the execution and triage using our ALM toolset. Project requirement is 100% automated test cases.

• Support appropriate technical meetings/scrums and message progress/status/concerns
• Review solution requirements from a QA point of view and participate in feature test scoping for input into the development of the product roadmap.
• Drive process improvements within the local test organization
• Participate in CLCA process with the QA test lead to improve the process release over release.
• Analyze project metrics to provide data on gaps and areas for improvement as well as data to base future schedules on.

Qualifications for this role are:

• Skills and Experience

o 8+ years systems level test experience.
o Experience in Linux based SW development and testing
o Experience with script development and implementation (Python)
o Good understanding of creating ISO\'s and installing RPMs.
o Experience with open-source components including Java-based, Javascript-based, and Python-based.
o Experience testing restful web services and API.
o Must be able to read, understand and walk-through C/C++ code.
o Understanding on Automated testing framework as well as maintaining a consistent CI pipeline for automated testing.
o Strong grasp and experience in SW test design, execution, automation and metrics.
o Demonstrated ability to work as a member of a feature development team
o Demonstrated ability to work across complex organizations and collaborate on technology sharing
o Experience with Agile software development process
o Excellent written/verbal communication skills
o Excellent time management skills, with the ability to independently prioritize, multitask, and work under deadlines in fast paced environmento Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interact effectively with program staff. Highly effective analytical, problem solving, decision making and influencing capabilities
o Storage industry experience a plus
o Minimum of BS or MS; computer engineering, computer science or related technical field.
o Experience with Jenkins and Rally highly desired
