For more information, click here .What You Will DoThe Principal Scientist- Analytical Method Development and Advanced Chemistry, within the R&D Operations group, will be a technical authority in all analytical testing from drug substance to finished product. He/she will provide leadership on global activities. He/she will also represent the R&D Analytical group in cross-functional and cross-sector teams with responsibility for technical mentorship to drive science based and efficient resolutions for product investigations and global compliance projects. This person should also have a broad base of knowledge regarding degradation chemistry that can be applied to work with the Regulatory, Legal and Toxicology teams for compliance with various requirements, such as compendial and ICH requirements.Key Responsibilities

• Development of analytical methods with complex OTC formulations and multiple active pharmaceutical ingredients

• Lead investigations for global finished products.

• Provide technical mentorship to drive science based and efficient resolutions for product investigations and global compliance projects.

• An authority in literature research along with analytical instrumentation

What We Are Looking ForRequired Qualifications

• M inimum MSc, B Pharm, M. Pharm, Ph.D. or equivalent science stream with minimum 8 years of work experience.

• Applied experience with analytical techniques used in a broad range of testing is required. It is preferred that this candidate have applied experience with instrumental and synthetic chemistry including rudimentary synthesis of degradation products, HPLC, GC, Mass Spectrometry, NMR and other chemical analyses.

• Analytical experience in the pharmaceutical industry is preferred.

• Familiarity with applicable GxP is required.

• Familiarity with ICH and compendia (including EP) is required.

• Strong oral and written communication skills as well as technical writing skills are required.

• In depth knowledge of ICH guidelines is preferred.

• Ability to balance multiple, contending priorities and work with minimal direction to creatively accomplish technical tasks is required.

• Travel of up to 10% may be required
