Talend is looking for a Principal Salesforce Developer who is visionary, customer focused, and outcome driven. The primary objectives involve creating, launching, and maintaining systems and capabilities that support our Enterprise-wide use of Salesforce. This role will require extensive interaction and collaboration across Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, Support and IT teams. You will work with program managers, end users and other developers to create innovative and creative solutions to solve operational problems.

What You’ll Do:

• Serve as a key member of our Bangalore based Salesforce development team
• Collaborate closely with internal teams on requirements and specifications for bug fixes, enhancements and project work.
• Provide day-to-day operational support. Identify problems and perform corrective actions.
• Proactively identify issues (tech debt, data inconsistencies etc.) and work with cross-functional teams to schedule the work, resolve and/or improve.
• Create and maintain in-depth platform documentation on system requirements, validation rules, process builder, automations, record types, workflows, triggers and custom objects
• Monitor system performance and user activity to make improvement recommendations.
• Develop customized solutions within the Salesforce platform to support critical business functions and meet project objectives, client requirements and company goals
• Proactively identify and mange continuous improvement efforts and maintenance of internal Salesforce instance; conduct long-term improvement operations to ensure compatibility with evolving requirements
• Communicate with project managers, business partners and other developers to design cohesive development strategies and ensure effective collaboration throughout all phases of development, testing and deployment
• Maintain a flexible and proactive work environment to facilitate a quick response to changing project requirements and customer objectives, and innovate ways to meet goals successfully
• Interact directly with business partners, managers and end users as necessary to analyze project objectives and capability requirements, including specifications for user interfaces, customized applications and automation.
• Provide system administration support of internal and customer-facing Salesforce environment, especially related to customized applications, user permissions, security settings, custom objects and workflow
• Evaluate existing sales processes and determine potential Salesforce-enabled enhancements

What We’re Looking For:

• In-depth knowledge of APEX, Visualforce, and Lightning Component Framework.
• 10+ years in application development, 8+ years of Salesforce development
• Extensive knowledge of Salesforce security models
• Ability to apply best practices and design patterns of best-of-breed applications developed on the Salesforce.com platform.
• One or more of the following certifications: Salesforce Platform App Builder Certification, Salesforce Platform Developer I Certification, Salesforce Lightning Component Framework Specialist (Trailhead Super Badge), Salesforce Lightning Experience Specialist (Trailhead Super Badge)
• Strong knowledge of the Salesforce platform’s declarative and programmatic capabilities.
• Familiarity with 3rd party business applications such as Gainsight, FinancialForce, Outreach, Marketo
• Experience using, administering and maintaining Salesforce in a Sales / Customer Success Operations with demonstrable experience designing processes and automations
• Familiarity with reviewing and understanding data used to build dashboards and reports
• Clear communicator with excellent written, verbal, and listening skills
• Experience in working with Agile Methodology
• Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, handle and prioritize simultaneous requests, and manage laterally and upwards
• Innovative and creative with solution development
