Job Description


OverviewAs a member of the Finance Transformation Team the Principal Project / Program Manager will drive cross functional strategic programs from ideation to completion. This role will: define priorities and resources allocated to initiatives projects and/or programs; plan and implement schedules and monitor project/program from inception through delivery; develop and manage communications; engage and lead all aspects of the work of external vendors; and maintain awareness of trends, business conditions and internal processes and practices impacting project/program deliverables.This position reports to the Director of Finance Transformation and will be located at Waters Global Capability Center in RMZ Ecoworld,Bellandur,Bangalore, India. The position will follow a hybrid approach (Working three days a week at the GCC office and two days from home).ResponsibilitiesProgram Management:

  • Plan, monitor, and manage global cross-functional projects and complex programs from initiation through completion including resourcing, staffing, progress reporting, and troubleshooting.
  • Develop and implement business cases that articulate the value propositions of a particular project/program. Successfully champion and drive the change.
  • Manage global teams and subject matter experts across multiple divisions and functions.
  • Secure required resources and funding; where necessary, facilitate prioritization regarding shared resources across workstreams
  • Track and manage risks, actions, issues, decisions, and metrics for the overall program
  • Escalate and drive risks and issues to resolution
  • Manage the Program business case realization
  • Manage and report on Program financial spend to budget
Execution:
  • Deliver to Program objectives and project charters
  • Ensure workstream leads are managing to timelines and deliverables
  • Identifies risks, develops recommendations/solutions, and implements solutions to project/program challenges.
  • Leverage advanced financial acumen to analyze financial and operational data to problem solve and provide innovative and strategic solutions to the business that include a well-informed best practice perspective.
  • Assist with the design and maintenance of required Service Infrastructure including metrics and KPIs.
Change Management:
  • Ensure Program has a robust strategy and plan for change management.
  • Ensure delivery of the strategy and plan.
  • Ensure execution of the program communication and training plan
  • Influence and collaborate with key stakeholders
Governance:
  • Develops and manages the program governance or organization model
  • Establish reporting priorities and report implementation progress to the various leadership teams and steering committees
  • Develop content and manage the PMO meetings, and Executive Steering Committee meetings as needed
  • Ability to provide constructive inputs for Budget planning & Forecast planning
Leadership:
  • Ensure delivery of capability build-out for people, new tools, processes, reporting, metrics, and governance
  • Provide thought leadership to deliver a world-class Operating Model
  • Ability to manage and inspire a cross-functional global team
  • Act as subject matter expert overseeing multiple workstreams
  • Act as ambassador for promoting one Waters culture at GCC
Continuous Improvement
  • Analyze Finance Processes to develop improvements and implement solutions that improve user experience and reduce costs.
  • Lead continuous improvement programs.
  • At as a subject matter expert by fostering team professional development through mentoring and coaching resources on business process improvement methodologies.
  • Participate in the Finance prioritization process. Coordinate efforts with technical teams
  • Manage pipeline for automation projects that leverage Robotic process automation
  • Facilitate and execute the process mapping, required standardization, and implementation of RPA to finance processes. Assist with the design of Service Infrastructure.
QualificationsEducation:
  • Bachelors degree
  • Post Secondary degree in Business Administration or similar
Experience:
  • 8-12 years business experience working and leading Programs with multiple workstreams; preferably in a finance, shared services, or consulting capacity.
  • Prior experience leading international, cross-functional full project life-cycle projects.
  • Prior experience leading Robotic Process Automation projects.
  • Prior experience managing transition and transformation projects preferred.
  • Experience creating KPI's and metrics in a Service Infrastructure capacity.
  • Prior experience building and managing business cases.
  • Superior problem-solving skills, leadership qualities, executive influencing skills, communication, process orchestration and consulting skills, team/interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Must be a self-starter and quick learner with ability to assertively engage with resources at all levels within the organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in and lead cross-functional, global teams.
  • Proven capacity to manage simultaneous processes from start to finish.
  • Superior communication and presentation skills (written and oral).
  • Global awareness and sensitive to multiple cultures.
  • Functional knowledge of Finance Operating model and end to end business processes.
  • Lean Six Sigma a plus.

  • Finance Transformation Principal Program Manager will need to have strong analytical skills and the ability to propose positive business solutions to problems
