DESCRIPTIONWant to transform the way people interact with Alexa? This role will enable you to shape how customers use the power of Alexa\'s AI to plan their meals, purchase groceries, and do their cooking. As the Principal PMT for Alexa Food, you will play a pivotal role in outlining and executing the vision of Alexa as your personal chef\'s assistant.In this role, you will be the single threaded owner of our Food experiences on Alexa. You\'ll be responsible for all three core areas of the Alexa Food customer journey: Picking meals, including being able to use your personal recipes, discovery new ones, and add them to your calendar; Purchase groceries, including building shopping lists for the meals customers pick and integrating with quick commerce platforms like Amazon Fresh; and Prepping the food with real time recipe instructions, help with choosing substitutes if you\'re unexpectedly out of an ingredient, and more. Your ability to harness AI to deliver compelling customer experiences to solve the daily chore will be critical to success. • Craft the vision, roadmap, and requirements for Alexa Food, including maintaining and expanding our existing offering while leaning into innovation with AI. This includes partnering with international teams to localize the experience for each region (i.e. knowing the differences between Spanish and Mexican food).
• Translate customer requirements into technical specifications, make trade-offs to optimize time-to-market, and collaborate with developers/managers to prioritize roadmaps and make technical decisions
• Own strategic planning and resourcing across the Food charter
• Work backwards from customer needs, identifying key goals, features, and execution strategies (e.g., PR-FAQs, BRDs)
• Recognize and scope new customer opportunities, execute strategies for user research and customer feedback collection, using both quantitative and qualitative data to evaluate opportunities
• Define the architectural and platform vision for the product space alongside your engineering partner team
• Collaborate with Science teams to define exemplars, test cases, and quality KPIs to maintain the customer experience quality bar
• Develop and execute go-to-market strategies for new features
• Communicate customer opportunities, business priorities, and performance metrics to executives

A day in the life
You will own the Alexa Food charter, defining the vision, strategy, product, and technical roadmap for a critical product area as Alexa evolves. You will interact daily with product managers, designers, developers, and engineering managers, based in both India and the US, leading them to create and deliver innovative and scalable products. Given many counterparts you interact with will be based in the US, you must be adept at working with virtual teams and have a high degree of independence. You will be a passionate product person, committed to innovating on behalf of customers. This is a "Think Big" role where you will collaborate closely with colleagues from multiple product functions to craft new ways for customers to interact with Alexa and consume highly personalized content.About the team

- Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
- Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
- Experience technical product management
- 8+ years of technical product or program management experience
- Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical individuals, both verbally and in writingPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS- Experience working directly with Engineers on product enhancements
- Experience in project management methodologies, business analysis, or process improvement
- Bachelor\'s degree in a quantitative/technical field such as computer science, engineering, statistics
- Demonstrated ability to influence for change across team and functional boundaries
