We aim to be where the growth is, enabling businesses to thrive and economies to prosper, and, ultimately, helping people to fulfil their hopes and realise their ambitions.We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Principal Platform Architect.Location: Pune or HyderabadThis role will typically be accountable for architecture for all Platforms within a given BU / Domain.Provide hands-on technical leadership in identification and resolution of all incidents associated with the IT service, as directed by the leadership of the DevOps team.Ensure service resilience, service sustainability, and recovery time objectives are met for all the software solutions delivered.Responsible for optimisation and improvement across various systems such as applications (in-house developed and commercial software), databases, middleware, networks, platforms etc., and the improvement of system reliability and performance by applying necessary finetuning and configuration changes, fulfil business growth requirements, maintain data integrity, and improve user experience. They are also responsible for addressing security issues and incident re-simulation across multiple platforms/applications.Principal responsibilities:Customers and StakeholdersManages CIO / CTO/Chief Architect level stakeholders. Challenges status-co and understands industry trends to benchmark. Works closely with SRE, engineering and architecture to drive the resiliency and engineering excellence across WPB.Leadership and Teamwork\xc2\xb7 Thinks beyond the obvious. Gets the full E2E picture, understand the low-level details of the platform fitness. Leads by example, hand-on experience is required. Challenges self and others towards improvement and optimization of WPB platforms.\xc2\xb7 Owns every outcome related to the platform alongside the platform CTO. Forms networks and ensures the WPB estate of platforms stay in sync.\xc2\xb7 Bridges gap between EA and SA w.r.t Platforms in remit. Key stakeholder in QBRs alongside VS Leads / Principal architects for platforms in their remit.\xc2\xb7 Excellent technology acumen and business knowledge. Create, align, and influence investments towards roadmaps.\xc2\xb7 Platform Architect must have the ability to collaborate with other engineers, architects, and business stakeholders to understand and drive the product or service\'s direction. They should provide technical leadership in identifying and resolving all incidents associated with the IT service.Major Challenges\xc2\xb7 Resiliency improvement, optimization, and technical leadership for WPB critical assets.RequirementsRequirements:\xc2\xb7 A university graduates. Graduates from an international top university highly preferred, MS or PhD preferred. Prior experience in platform architecture or similar role.\xc2\xb7 Hands-on engineering capabilities is a must. Proven contribution to international academic and industrial communities and/or open-source communities will be a huge advantage.Business:\xc2\xb7 Business knowledge in financial services industry (retail, wealth management, insurance) is preferred.\xc2\xb7 Strong communication skill in both verbal and written form; capability of delivering effective presentation to teammates and external and internal stakeholders.\xc2\xb7 Be able to work across multiple domains of knowledge and skills, and share knowledge across the team.Technical:\xc2\xb7 Full stack software engineering capability including front-end, middleware, backend is a must.\xc2\xb7 Strong analytical, design and problem-solving skills; excellent team player with ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision.\xc2\xb7 Commitment to the resiliency vision, attention to details and willing to dedicate efforts.Other:\xc2\xb7 Be a contributor in the process of business strategy definition, a trust advisor for CIOs and COOs.Candidate with less relevant experience or skills may be offered a lower Global Career Band than stated above.Due to the urgent hiring need, candidates with immediate right to work locally and no relocation need will be prioritised.The chosen candidate for this role will be required to undergo enhanced vetting.
