Additional information can be found at .We are seeking a Principal Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Bengaluru.A day in your life at MKS:

  • Mechanical and electromechanical design changes of products and product variants in collaboration with our project teams
  • Product design with the focus on large scale assemblies with very complex assembly structures in multiple variants.
  • Support of product changes from the initial idea through to handover to the production
  • Timing of work in coordination with the overall project and task plans
  • responsibility for the preparation and approval of design documentation
  • Change management, planning and implementation of change processes
  • Execute the design, analysis or evaluation of assigned projects using sound engineering principles and adhering to business standards, practices, procedures and product requirements
  • Development from the inquiry to the conceptual stage on to series production and delivery both in New Product Introduction projects and sustaining engineering
  • Strong focus on functional requirements, design for manufacturing, serviceability and cost
  • Making sure designed products meet requirements and are suited for serial production
  • Clarification of design requirements with Systems Engineering and Technology teams
  • Supporting Supply Chain, Service and Sales teams
  • Creating, checking and administration of drawings and documentation of technical data consistent with engineering policies and procedures
  • Provide timely communications on significant issues or developments
  • Participate on teams assigned to address organizational initiatives and generic issues
  • Participate as a presenter or reviewer in technical and program reviews
  • Close cross-functional collaboration, both internally and with external partners
What will you bring to the team:
  • Bachelor of Science or higher, ideally from the field of precision engineering / mechatronics, medical technology or similar with a focus on design methodology.
  • Proven experience in mechanical design engineering especially managing of large scale assemblies and variants.
  • Sound knowledge of the 3D CAD System Solidworks, especially in large configured assemblies
  • Knowledge or interest in the principles of design methodology (DFX), in particular cost-optimized (DTC) and production-oriented design (DFM), reliability optimization, LEAN methodology
  • Interested in international cooperation, German is a plus.
  • A high degree of self-motivation and teamwork
  • Experience with the PLM System Oracle Agile or Solidworks Electrical or Solidworks Composer is a plus.
