DEGREE PRINCIPAL
This is a full-time on-site role for a Principal, Degree College. The Principal will oversee the academic
and administrative operations of the Degree College, provide strategic leadership, manage faculty and
staff, and ensure academic quality and regulatory compliance.
Qualifications
Mandatory Qualifications: - BCom/BBA/BBM/BCA + MCom/MBA + Ph.D.in relevant field.
Experience & Skill Sets
? 15 years of experience in Academics (mandatory)
? 5 years' experience in a leadership position
? Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
? Proven ability to lead and manage a diverse team
? Experience in fostering a culture of academic excellence, innovation and research
? Strong understanding of academic regulations and accreditation standards
? Previous experience in Colleges affiliated to BU/BNU/BCU is desirable
Job location: - HKBK Degree College, 22/2 Nagavara opposite Manyata Tech park, Bangalore North
? General administration of Degree College and overall supervision of Academic progress.
? To ensure all university norms and requirements are met.
? To ensure the College is prepared for University LIC and successfully attain continuation of
affiliation.
? To ensure AICTE COA is successfully attained.
? To ensure syllabus set by the university is completed well ahead of time and necessary remedial
classes are provided to ensure optimal results.
? To ensure all departments in the Degree College engage in industry bridge activities, industry
visits etc.
? To ensure that the standards set by NAAC in all criteria are fulfilled each year.
? To ensure NAAC documentation is up to date and AQAR is submitted on time.
? To ensure that HKBK Degree College is well prepared for LIC visit and formalities for
Extension of Affiliation is completed successfully; oversee admission formalities prescribed by
the University are successfully completed; and all examination and IA norms prescribed by the
University are adhered to.
? Responsibility for overseeing workload allocation to staff and to ensure that the Time-Table set
by departments are adhered to strictly.
? To oversee and ensure student discipline on campus.
? Uphold and implement institution and HR policies.
? To help get students placement ready and to ensure the college extends its cooperation to all
placement activities such that all eligible students are placed.
? To achieve highest possible passing percentage and University Rank.
? Responsible for monitoring and evaluating overall performance of academic and curriculum
activity of staff.
? To propose development plan for institution in line with Management mission and goal.
? To work with HR department to set KRA's and objectives to achieve for Teaching and non-
Teaching staffs, in line with NAAC standards.
? Responsible to nurture and ensure a healthy work environment is established among faculty, staff
and management
? To identify key areas of improvement and innovation in teaching methodology and set guidelines
to the staff in line with the core values of institution
? Foster collegiality, team building and encourage active participation of staffs in decision making
process
? To prepare annual academic budget and submit it to the management before the beginning of the
Academic Year.
? Responsible to invite eminent faculty, look after the student affairs, organize internship programs
for students
? Motivate, satisfy and inspire staff of the college at all levels to deliver their highest levels of
performance and to provide an environment in which they will develop
? To build high motivation and aspirations for students to attain the highest possible levels of
achievement and for best outcome students from the college
