The liquidity services comprise of a suite of 7 global applications that help corporate treasury department to manage their company liquidity. Key services that we cater to are pooling, cash concentration, intercompany loans, cash flow forecasting, liquidity investment solutions. Global Liquidity Services are both vendor products and in-house built products, running on SaaS models, public clouds and internal clouds.Need a senior Principle Engineer in the Global Liquidity domain with 20+ years of experience in leading engineering team, be accountable for the engineering of the Global Deposit Services, Liquidity Management Portal, Liquidity Data Services delivery out of our HSBC Technology Centers in India and China respectively. In addition, be responsible to the engineering best practices and acceptance of multiple vendor products from different software vendors.Candidate should have extensive experience working in large and complex engineering environments, adapt and define the best practices following the banks guidance and engineering methodology.To align with global transformation program, the role will lead the engineering transformation. Candidate should define transformation roadmap and implement the change program, which includes Engineering best practices, methods & processes, tools, accelerators, automation, optimization and analytics solutions.The ideal candidate is an experienced global leader, with a proven track record of leading engineering practice, as well as being a leader of organizational, operational and technological change.The candidate is preferred to have Global Liquidity business insights, to collaborate with the business partners in establishing business and technology strategy and provide end to end technology delivery.The candidate works with the Service Quality Manager and control functions to ensure that products and services are built and maintained to provide the required levels of availability, functional capability and non-functional capability, and systemic operational issues are addressed in the design lifecycle.Location: Pune or Bangalore or HyderabadPrincipal responsibilities

  • Define methodology, select and build relevant tools, processes, to deliver software in an agile, efficient, effective manner.
  • Provide mentorship and training to technology team, to foster the learning culture and to enhance team delivery and performance quality.
  • Provide technical leadership to a team of engineers, guiding them through the development lifecycle and ensuring best practices are followed.
  • Provide guidance on best practices, technical standards, development, and career growth.
  • Facilitate code review capability and feedback mechanisms to maintain quality and adherence to industry standards.
  • Support software testing software to ensure quality and troubleshoot issues during development.
  • Lead process discipline and improvements in areas of expertise, such as disciplined agile software delivery, production support processes and continuous DevOps pipelines development
  • Champion adherence to standard controls and driving teams to achieve compliance and framework, capability management, Security controls and technology architecture designs.

RequirementsRequirements:
  • The candidate should have work in a technical role for a minimum of 20 years.
  • The candidate should have good understanding of technology and its application, including but not limited to web technologies, host to host technologies, APIs, Micro services, Cloud, etc.
  • The candidate should have experience presenting to senior stakeholder in both business and technology.
  • Should have work on agile projects and understand the employment of agile methodology.
  • Should understand how DevOps works and how to utilize to any automation tools for engineering delivery.
  • Demonstrate strong transformational leadership capability in terms of leading the transition into Agile/DevOps practice, uplifting organizational delivery capability.
  • The candidate should have experience in look after 24*7 production services.
  • People leadership capability to lead many engineers to upskill them on the latest technology capabilities and DevOps journey.
  • Business domain knowledge in commercial banking, transaction banking and liquidity is preferred.
