You will be employed by ANSR until Land O\'Lakes GCC is operationally ready.   • Serving as a high-level member of the systems administration team to support various aspects of Linux infrastructure.
  • Working with other senior staff to recommend and design systems architecture and topology.
  • Leading a team responsible for the growth, maintenance, and development of a large-scale Linux server farm.
  • Providing support for complex systems and applications, including new system rollouts, maintenance, migration, upgrades, and long-term performance improvement.
  • Providing firsthand support during major activities, patch and vulnerability management, and high priority or critical cases.
  • Supporting local and remote engineering teams with UNIX/Linux related issues and escalations.
  • Regularly assessing and ensuring each of our systems are included in our monitoring and alerting, backup and recovery, and vulnerability management processes.
  • CMDB Server CI validation and cleanup.
  • Producing process documentation, technical diagrams, runbooks, and related documentation.
Skills & Knowledge:
  • Mid-level career experience in maintaining large numbers of UNIX/Linux servers.
  • Knowledge of tools for distributing new or upgraded software.
  • Knowledge of storage administration (NFS, CIFS, iSCSI, NAS/SAN, etc.).
  • Experience with VMWARE and managing large-scale virtualized environments.
  • In-depth knowledge of core technologies such as TCP/IP, BIND, LDAP, Sendmail, NTP, FCIP, iSCSI, SAN, NAS, etc.
  • Experience with automation technologies like Ansible and Shell Scripting.
  • Extensive troubleshooting skills with Linux and network in complex App and DB environments.
  • Experience using OEM (Oracle Enterprise Manager).
  • Strong understanding of network and server security.
  • Proficiency in Word and Excel.
  • Experience in engineering, designing, upgrading, building, implementing, and deploying systems.
  • Experience in leading others and managing physical hardware.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree in computer engineering or equivalent experience in IT/DC management.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in engineering and design capacities.
  • Deep understanding of UNIX/Linux fundamentals and concepts.
  • In-depth knowledge of RHCE, OVM, vSphere ESXi, Rapid7.
  • Extensive System Administration experience with Red Hat and other Linux flavors.
  • Experience deploying containers and automating administrative tasks with scripting.
  • Knowledge of ServiceNow/ITSM for handling Incident/Change/Problem management.
  • Experience with vulnerability and patch management.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Red Hat Certifications.
  • Customer Service Experience.
