As a Principal Engineer at Intuit, you will be responsible for driving innovation across a number of interdependent engineering teams. You will work closely with product management and design to develop new products and features that will revolutionize the way people manage their finances. You will also be responsible for contributing to Intuit-wide architecture decisions, ensuring that our products are scalable, reliable, and secure. Qualifications We would like to see the following experience: Bachelor\'s or Master\'s degree in Computer Science, or equivalent work experience. Design and Architecture experience preferred 10+ years\' experience designing and leading design for web, software, or mobile applications Experience with cloud or SaaS, big data, analytics, AI or machine learning Boundaryless leadership experience: Applying the nuances of influencing based on the situation knowing when to push and when to ease Driving through designs, ideas, and roadmaps Excellent communication skills: Demonstrated ability to present to all levels of leadership, including executives Expertise with modern technology stacks, microservices, public cloud, and programming languages, such as : GraphQL, REST, JavaScript, CSS, React, Java, Kotlin, serverless technologies, distributed systems, SDLC, and persistence technologies Expertise with Agile Development 5+ years of experience designing complex distributed systems, management products, or business applications. Leadership Qualifications: You have experience leading multiple teams on various projects across the organization that have high visibility with extreme impact. You have a strong track record of effectively managing and coordinating cross-functional global teams to deliver high-quality results on time and within budget. You are able to build strong relationships with stakeholders across the organization, and are able to effectively communicate project objectives, progress, and risks to senior management. You have a strategic mindset and are able to think critically about complex problems, identifying innovative solutions that drive business value. You are able to lead change initiatives and drive organizational transformation, leveraging your strong leadership skills to inspire and motivate team members to embrace change and drive innovation. You have a passion for coaching and mentoring others, and are committed to developing the next generation of leaders within your organization Responsibilities In this role you will: Drive design and implementation of durable software solutions that will solve critical customer problems. Help ensure key non-functional requirements are met (including security, availability, performance, scale, quality,) Drive innovation across a number of interdependent engineering teams Contribute to Intuit-wide architecture decisions Research, evaluate, and implement state-of-the-art technology (including open source, third party). Stay abreast of mobile, SaaS, and PaaS trends and standards. Recommend best practices, and share learning. Contribute to Intuit-wide architecture decisions Coach and mentor other engineers in process and methodologies. Provide perspective on leading industry trends, recommendations on new and emerging technologies, technology prototypes, patent proposals, and engineering process improvements Actively stay abreast of AI technology trends and Intuit\'s initiatives in this area Drive strategic architecture planning to evolve technology stacks for developer velocity improvement and incremental customer value
